Happy New Year 2010 !

Well here we go ! But before we get down to business (or during) let us all celebrate making it to yet another year !

It is my sincere wish that all will be better in this the Year of Our Lord 2010 and thought I would share with you some music.

The following clip is from the movie 'August Rush' which I recommend if you have not seen it and appreciate music. Besides, 'Auld Lang Syne' is way overplayed.


I think the movie represents faith, over-coming obstacles, a new beginning from what are all to often unfortunate starts, reuniting family, and excellent music. Plus the child actor in the clip looks like a little Conservative lol.

(Oh, a plus for the guy's as well, the actress, Keri Russel is a doll)



Now I have a political twist to that last line for congress;
The voters are all around you, all you have to do is LISTEN !

OK, for all the die-hard's out there that cannot do without 'Auld Lang Syne' on New Years Eve, here is a version I prefer and whoever it is sure can make a guitar talk.

Conservative vs. Moderate (RINO)

Or, Consistency vs. Wishy-Washy

A little long but please bear with me,,,,,,

Friends, I recently had an exchange on another blog that prompted this post, basically getting down to the point of consistency.

You may deem it ranting but that is not my intent, this is all quite sincere.

I submit a conservative is a person, an individual who, in simple terms, takes a road paving their own path without government interference but within the law set forth in our Constitution. This particular path may lead to great, middle-of-the-road or disastrous ends, but it is in the end, either way, a choice which is (or was) guaranteed in our constitution.

Many describe that a Conservative is a "religious-right" individual thereby changing the description and context of the term. It maybe true some are, but a broad stroke of a liberal brush obviously will not paint the picture justly.

One who truly believes them self(s) to be a Conservative remains consistent in everything they do; relationship's, marriage, work, religion (does not matter which faith or denomination), word's, action's and most importantly the reading of the U.S. Constitution. The keyword in this is 'consistent'. What good are word's if the listener/reader knows that they are empty rendering them useless?

I contend that many of those who may belong to the Republican Party establishment are not what are deemed Conservative. Many of you may indeed agree with my contention but I write this to clarify the issue for those who do not. I do not wish to demonize the party, just to clean it up. Two prominent elected Republicans come to mind that illustrate my point; Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Sen. Olympia Snowe (R-ME).

We are entering 2010 which will likely be the most important election year of our lives. Yes, our lives not our Grandpas. The Republican Party traditionally is a good place to be, but we must be vigilant as to who represents Conservative values inside that party. This vigilance must be applied at all levels of government; City, County, State and Federal.

I am not nor ever have been a democrat but I am not blind either. We have witnessed the hijacking of a political party by far-left socialist's which in turn are endangering our very existence. Conversely we cannot allow 'moderates' to hijack the Republican party. If moderation were to prevail, what would be the point of a 2-party system or opposition as it is/was?

Many also say "Well, the GOP is the party of the 'Big Tent’, there is room for moderates".

I personally could not disagree more. Moderation is just another form, albeit slower, of instrumentalism into socialism. When you step back and look at how we as a Nation got where we are today, it is 'moderates' that can take full responsibility for it, to and including B. Hussein Obama and the current congress under the "leadership" of Harry Reid (D-NV) and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). The very definitions of moderate/moderation do not belong in the American political lexicon.

I have respect for liberals in one sense as not unlike conservatives they know what they want. Moderates on the other hand have no clue as to what they seek thereby have no base from which to form a coherent thought, vote or let alone govern.

Think about it in terms of the debate surrounding abortion; the liberals are all for this abominable practice and conservatives are justifiably against it, moderates?

Can you have a moderate abortion?

I think not and believe even liberals would agree on that point.

Think of a football game; most people pick one team to root for and win, right? Can you pick both teams to win in the same game? No. What would be the point of the contest?

A recent example of how 'moderates' 'feel' about a subject; The federal government bailing-out and taking over General Motors which in their confused minds 'allowed’, repeat “allowed” the now state-owned company to file for bankruptcy. This thinking is beyond ridiculous but serves to point out that 'moderation' has no place in governing.

I have recently been called an ideologue and by a person who claims the mantle of conservatism but in truth is a moderate. Now this person would disagree in my description of him but the proof is in his description of me. I would actually agree with his assertion about myself as an ideologue as I have decidedly chosen sides and endeavor to stay consistent in all I do. That said, a conservative would never use that terminology to describe another conservative for it is a given, requires no verbalization and therefore goes unsaid.

Now someone who is not conservative would obviously use that word being they have yet to make up their mind on any given issue with the exception of throwing names out. (Remind you of another party?)

Every election is indeed important and that by now should be quite obvious as should the consequences. This year there is no exception. As has been said before "one cannot be all things to all people" so don't try. Get off the fence, pick a side and above all, be consistent about it.

The spokesperson in the following video is speaking in terms of athletic training on consistency, but what he says remains true no matter the thinking,subject or goal. In my case that goal would be a return to a Constitutionally based American Republic,,,,,,





I am quite confident being a Conservative ideologue and as the above spokesman suggests the reason for this state of confidence is consistency. He furthers states, and I at est. to, that this takes work and or a challenge. It is very easy to be a moderate or liberal, it requires no work whatsoever, no challenge, no loyalty and in turn no thought. You become a "fair weather fan" or go" whichever way the wind blows", neither one being consistent.

Bottom-line; if you wish to be liberal then just be consistent about it like Pelosi. I fully understand, not agree, but understand her socialist agenda. Or be a Conservative like Economist Thomas Sowell, again I fully understand, and in his case fully agree on his goal as I share it.

Both the people mentioned above do not give an inch to the other side which is to be respected in the terms of consistency. How can you respect a moderate? People I am talking about voters here that need to size themselves up.

I go back to my example of auto bailouts; why would a state-run company take itself to itself in court to protect itself when all was readily available before any bail-out? This is deemed "moderation" but in fact a rip-off and needless to say unconstitutional and also stupid. Then we witnessed so-called conservatives (RINO's) attacking real Conservatives who justifiably saw bankruptcy which in fact is constitutional hence legal and the 1st,best and inevitable solution.

'Cash for Clunkers' ring a bell? As Paul Harvey used to say "Now you know the rest of the story"

In the afore (beginning) mentioned exchange there was a strange mention of 'percentage of purity' as it pertains to Conservatism? As though there is a subjective level as to adherence to the Law of the Land? Well to answer such a ridiculous, subversive premise; 100%.

This again points to why I find moderation ridiculous if not insane; how can a society have say 35% adherence to the law? My God! What would that lead to? Well it is actually called ANARCHY- meaning no laws.

No moderates for me, just ideologues. I keep my friends close and enemies closer. Those who deem me neither friend nor foe need to be placed in a secure mental facility. I am not a mind-reader nor do I wish to be, just pick a side, state your mind and back it up.

Think, can there be a "comprimise" on freedom? The answer is obvious,,,NO!

First-ever Heads of Missions Conference at the MFA

Israel’s ambassadors and consuls general serving throughout the world will discuss broad diplomatic and strategic issues at a conference to be held next week in Jerusalem.


(Communicated by MFA Spokesperson’s Bureau)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Avigdor Liberman, will host a conference next week (27-31 December) for Israeli Heads of Missions. At the conference, Israel’s ambassadors and consuls general serving throughout the world will discuss broad diplomatic and strategic issues.

This is the first time a conference for all of Israel’s Heads of Missions has been held. The idea is to facilitate direct dialogue with the country’s leaders, mutual updates on major diplomatic issues, and a discussion of action plans to deal with the challenges awaiting the State of Israel in the international arena in the coming year, including the Iranian threat.


Makes one wonder as to what may be happening here? First ever recall of all Israeli Heads of Missions (Ambassadors/Diplomats).

U.S. official's criticism of Israel ambassador sparks furor

In an interview with Haaretz in Jerusalem, where Rosenthal was the administration's envoy to the Foreign Ministry's Global Forum for Combating Anti-Semitism, Rosenthal, who once served on J street's board of directors, said she opposes blurring the lines between anti-Semitism and criticism of Israel.

"It is not 1939," she said. "We have the state of Israel. We have laws in countries that are holding people accountable."

When Ambassador Michael Oren turned down J Street's request to be keynote speaker at its first annual conference, and chose not to attend, debate over the group, already intense in the American Jewish community, reached as far as Jerusalem.

J Street was established a few years ago as a new pro-Israel lobby to counterbalance the strong, veteran group AIPAC, considered to toe a more right-wing conservative line.



"As an official of the United States government, it is inappropriate for the anti-Semitism envoy to be expressing her personal views on the positions Ambassador Oren has taken as well as on the subject of who needs to be heard from in the Jewish community. Such statements have nothing to do with her responsibilities and, based upon comments I am already receiving, could threaten to limit her effectiveness in the area for which she is actually responsible," said the statement.

An Open Letter To Israel

Do not by any mean's accept Carters' apology! You do so at your own peril.

This neanderthal, Carter, is the one who set-up Ayatollah Komenini in Iran and set-up the further insanity you now face. I say this as a Christian on Christmas Day realizing we share the same God and therefore incumbent on me to speak.

This insane man, Carter, we in the U.S. had to put up with for 4 years as president but in those years he set-up policies that destroyed our education, defense and integrity. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT believe this PIECE-OF S-IT excuse for a human,he is not by any means sincere.

Think for a moment on who this insane man Carter supports - Hussein Obama, that POS is not, and again repeat, is not at all your friend.

Both are set on your complete destruction all the while supporting your enemies and ours!

I implore all Jews and Israelites to stand-up for Israel and denounce Carter for the anti-Semite he is and remember, leopards do not change their stripes.

Do not for one second believe our media in the U.S., we in the U.S. do support you,Israel, in overwhelming numbers.

Santa Claus is warned in the video that global warming is a "serious situation" that could wreak havoc on the environment, including the North Pole.

Global warming skeptics are blasting Build-A-Bear Workshop for being anything but soft and cuddly, accusing the well-known toy company of trying to indoctrinate young children with a series of videos warning of the effects of climate change.

The three-part video series, "Under the North Star: An Uplifting Christmas Experience," features a cartoon polar bear who warns Santa Claus that global warming is a "serious situation," one that could wreak havoc on the environment and potentially cause the North Pole to vanish by Christmas.,,,,,,,,,,,

Trickle Up His Leg For Alinski

I always find it refreshing when Chris Matthews of msnbc's Hardball slips and speaks the truth, his truth that is,,,,



One of "their hero's" meaning of course the entire Democratic Party establishment be they elected, courts, media, academia , trial lawyers, unions or your everyday run-of-the-mill community organizations.

Now when Glenn Beck of Fox News or anyone on the right raises the specter of liberals following Saul Alinskis 'Rules for Radicals' he or she is dismissed as a liar and an extremest bent on destroying the current president. The reason for this is in a few of Alinskis' rules which Matthews follows as do elected liberal officials as we have witnessed recently:

"Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it."

"Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also, it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage."

"In a fight almost anything goes. It almost reaches the point where you stop to apologize if a chance blow lands above the belt."

I have followed political events from the side-lines for years and almost without fail some yahoo in the media will say at the end of every year that it has been the most divisive and nastiest political atmosphere in American history.

Now those who make such statements show the commenter's lack of historical knowledge regarding American politics. Granted there was no cable tv back in the 1700's but they did have what was once referred to as reliable, newspapers. Before making such statements I wish they would do some research so as to be accurate.

But I regress a little, I know they will not do the homework. So instead of telling their viewers what is obvious, divisiveness, just tell them the truth of the year 2010 to come,,"People, you ain't seen nothing yet".

Ala. Dem defects to GOP over health care, policy

Well it starts early. Is it "Save my election (butt) or a real conscience check?

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A U.S. House Democrat who opposes the health care overhaul announced Tuesday he is defecting to the GOP, another blow to Democrats ahead of the midterm elections.

U.S. Rep. Parker Griffith spoke to reporters at his home in northern Alabama, a region that relies heavily on defense and aerospace jobs.


Whatever the case may be,and I do hope on conviction not politics, this along with 9 expected Democrat resignations bodes well for 2010. The Rep. is quoted as saying:

"I want to make it perfectly clear that this bill is bad for our doctors," he said. "It's bad for our patients. It's bad for the young men and women who are considering going into the health care field."

This has been a good week for Conservatives,hearing this along with B. Husseins historic low approval ratings, less than impressive appearance in Copenhagen on the world stage and even though a bad bill in the Senate on health care it is still not what he and the socialist's wanted.

Newly minted Republican U.S. Rep. Parker Griffith went on to ponder about the idea of other Democrats switching party affiliation with him:

"If they do, I hope it's on conviction and not politics," he said.

Well again,I share that thought but whether or not they switch parties people WILL remember how they vote/voted on any and all unconstitutional,socialist bills coming down the pike and no matter the party will be summarily thrown out on their keisters on that basis alone.

Senior White House adviser David Axelrod on Sunday brushed aside expert predictions that Democrats will suffer steep losses in next year’s midterm congressional elections.


“I think we're gonna have a good result next – next November,” Axelrod told David Gregory, host of NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Though Axelrod quickly added: “I'm not gonna predict where we are,” he roundly dismissed suggestions that Democrats will pay the price at the ballot box for their efforts to push through health care reform legislation, and suggested that President Obama’s sub-50-percent approval rating in most polls is unrelated to his heavy investment in the health care fight.

“I don't ascribe poll numbers to this particular – to this particular issue. I think that we're governing, remember, in an economically difficult time. We came to office in the greatest economic downturn since the Great Depression. And so, of course, I could have told you a year ago that our numbers were not gonna be - were not gonna be - as strong a year later.”

OK Mr. Axlerod ? By the way, is that what you "advised" your boss of a year ago ?
Somehow I highly doubt it.

Spinning Out of Control - Open Thread

This is something else? If you believe the info line, 'greenies' (my word) were throwing snowballs at Hummers (SUV's), that's one angle to this. So were they upset that SUV's were the cause for 'Global Cooling' being there was a snow storm hence wrecking their 'Global Warming' religion?

Oop's, hit the wrong vehicle - an off-duty detective was driving. Now this detective gets way too over zealous in drawing his weapon against, of all things, SNOWBALLS.

The kicker to me is this happened in Washington D.C.,no better place for things spinning out of control in the era of the 'One'.

Around 2.30PM on Saturday, December 19, during a historic snowstorm, residents at the intersection of 14th and U Streets NW started throwing snowballs at passing Hummers.

One of the cars pelted was driven by a plainclothes police officer identified only as Det. Baylor. Baylor got out of his car and brandished his gun at the crowd.

Reason.tv's Dan Hayes was on the scene, capturing the tense confrontation between police and citizens who chanted "Don't bring a gun to a snowball fight!"

Approximately 5 minutes; harsh language throughout.

We have a very important new year in 2010 and we must not relent in our common pursuit to take back one of our most precious gifts,a gift that was fought for and then given to us freely, our Nation. We must remember that our founding principles are based on the teachings of the one whose Birthday we join together to celebrate, Jesus Christ. To some (the left) this is a break from the 'Separation of Church and State' but that is a false premise. His teachings are quite simply put; based on morality and civility which in fact has served our Nation quite well.

We owe this pursuit to our forefathers, children and least of not ourselves. May God Grant us His Good Graces and Speed in this endeavor.

In that spirit I offer an old Irish Blessing;


May the road rise up to meet you,

The wind be always at your back,

The sunshine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields,

Why Are They Losing Reader's ?????

If the following does not open a window into the mentality (or lack thereof) of the current crop of lame-stream media's socialist’s, elitists and White House Propagandist’s and exactly what they think and talk about amongst themselves, but also what they think of YOU, I have not a clue what will.

The very first quote in this will temp you (if not completely enrage you immediately) to forgo all civility, and with the windows closed even your neighbors will hear your dissatisfaction (anger).

If you are not familiar with the names, they are columnists for the very liberal New York Times (go figure). The article itself is from the Media Research Center’s ‘TimesWatch’ whose mission statement is; “Documenting and Exposing the Liberal Political Agenda of the New York Times” and they hit it out of the ballpark with this.

Seasons Greetings from the Media: The 'Atrocity' of Palin and Lieberman

What’s on the mind of media types this Christmas season? Obama’s “great” speeches and the “atrocity” of Sarah Palin and Sen. Joe Lieberman, says Times columnist David Brooks, an Obama supporter and Palin-basher whose neo-liberal outlook nevertheless places him at the right end of the paper's cavalcade of liberal opinion writers.

In his weekly Wednesday “Opinionator” exchange with fellow columnist Gail Collins at nytimes.com, Brooks provided a peek into a typical media Christmas, that is, “holiday” party:

He began with self-mockery:
Brooks: Tis the season for holiday parties, which means I’m spending a lot of time with the Beltway establishment. Let me tell you, you people who live outside the beltway are completely out of touch. We in the D.C. establishment are a wonderful group of really smart and intelligent people and if you guys don’t let us micromanage your affairs, you don’t deserve the happiness and wealth we could provide.

Collins responded with some sarcasm of her own from a liberal viewpoint:

Collins:Do I hear a note of sarcasm? Yes, what a really happy holiday this would be if only the government had not barged in with those intrusive bailouts and saved the banking system. Interference from Washington is a terrible burden to us all, from the simple farmer who yearns to be freed from oppressive crop supports to the elderly who pray to be released from the chains of Social Security

Brooks then told us what media types discuss among themselves:

Brooks: The only problem with us inside the Beltway types is a certain tendency toward a herd mentality. For example, this year I’m especially lamenting the fact that we have a near one-party press corps. All my conversations are the same: Haven’t Obama’s speeches been great? Isn’t Sarah Palin an atrocity? Why don’t they just pass health care already? I agree with some of this, but it’s still boring to be part of the same blah, blah, blah.

Collins: Well, the good thing about New York is that only half the conversation at any party is about politics. The other half is shop talk, which I really do like, particularly when it’s not my shop and I get to hear gossip about which restaurant is closing next or who’s sleeping with who in the world of post-post Freudian therapy.

Brooks revealed “polite society”’s conventional wisdom about another politician currently reviled by the left:

Brooks: The big theme of holiday conversation is what an atrocity Joe Lieberman is. Everybody agrees apparently. Most people who agree couldn't even tell you what the Medicare buy-in is or what his position on health care reform is. They just know that in polite society it is imperative to detest old Joe.

Collins: David, excuse me! I have been making this point for several years now. In fact I believe I announced in 2007 that Joe Lieberman was responsible for everything terrible that’s happened to the world since 1999.

Brooks: As a matter of fact, I like Lieberman enormously. (I know we disagree on this.) I think he is performing a valuable national service. First, he is representing the American people. Their No. 1 one concern with health care is cost control. He’s standing up for that.

Collins: Joe Lieberman is not representing anybody but Joe Lieberman. I’ve thought that ever since his last election, when he got bounced by the Democrats and ran as the nominee of the Connecticut for Lieberman Party. Why wasn’t it Lieberman for Connecticut? Because it’s got to be all about Joe, that’s why.

Collins repeated that theme in her Thursday column, which opened:
"Let us contemplate the badness of Joe Lieberman".

Later, Collins got really personal:

The theories about Why Joe Is Doing It abound. We cannot get enough of them! I have decided to start a rumor that it all goes back to the 2004 presidential race, when Lieberman not only failed to win any primaries, but was also bitten by either a rabid muskrat or a vampire disguised as a moose.

Other than that, my favorite explanation comes from Jonathan Chait of The New Republic, who theorized that Lieberman was able to go from Guy Who Wants to Expand Medicare to Guy Who Would Rather Kill Health Care Than Expand Medicare because he “isn’t actually all that smart.”,,,,,,,,

,,,,,I used to cover Lieberman when he was the majority leader of the State Senate in Connecticut. We got along very well, except for one interview, during which he talked about working for J.F.K., and how he kept a Mass card from Robert Kennedy’s funeral to remind him of the principles to which he had dedicated his career. Showing me the card, he remarked casually that he hadn’t looked at it for some time.

I wrote an article using the neglected Kennedy card as a metaphor for Lieberman’s fall from his old ideals into the pragmatic politics of a party leader. He was outraged and wounded, and I believe I apologized.

Taking back the apology now.

RECENTLY IN TACOMA,WASHINGTON AN UNPRECEDENTED NUMBER OF TEN'S OF THOUSANDS OF POLICE OFFICERS FROM ALL OVER THE USA, CANADA AND OVERSEAS SHOWED UP FOR THE FUNERAL FOR THE 4 SLAIN POLICE OFFICERS FROM THE TACOMA SUBURB OF LAKEWOOD.

OVER 20,000 POLICE OFFICERS ARRIVED FOR THE FUNERAL. 1,000 ROYAL CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE OFFICERS DRESSED IN THEIR RED UNIFORMS FORMED A MASSIVE SEA OF RED. OVER 100 OFFICERS ATTENDED FROM NEW YORK AND ANOTHER 100 FROM BOSTON.

ALL HOTELS IN TACOMA WERE BOOKED FULL AND THE OVERFLOW OFFICERS WERE INVITED INTO THE HOMES OF LOCAL OFFICERS. MC CHORD AIR FORCE BASE OFFERED THEIR BASE AS A STAGING AREA FOR OVER 1,000 POLICE VEHICLES THAT WOULD FORM A PROCESSION FROM LAKEWOOD TO THE TACOMA DOME.

ZOGBY: Fewer Americans worried by climate change

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Al Gore's pitch for saving the planet from global warming appears to be falling on increasingly deaf ears, a Zogby Interactive survey shows.

Nearly half of Americans, or 49 percent, say they are only slightly or not at all concerned about climate change, while 35 percent are somewhat or highly concerned, the survey shows.

Democratic Rep. Gordon Will Not Seek Re-Election Next Year

WASHINGTON -- Rep. Bart Gordon, a 13-term congressman from Tennessee, announced Monday he will not seek re-election next year, the latest Democrat in a string of retirements.

Gordon, 60, won re-election easily last year, garnering 74 percent of the vote.

"Turning 60 has led me to do some thinking about what's next," he said in a statement. "I have an 8-year-old daughter and a wonderful wife who has a very demanding job, and I am the only child of my 83-year-old mother Margaret. They have made sacrifices to allow me to do what I love by serving Congress, and now it's my turn."

Gordon is the chairman of the House Committee on Science and Technology. He was first elected in 1984, after Al Gore gave up his seat to run for the Senate.

Gordon cited among his accomplishments passage of the "America Competes Act," which called for increased spending on math and science programs.

"With the challenges our country faces, we have laid the foundation to rebuild our economy based on innovation, investments in research, and a sustained commitment to math and science education," Gordon said. "For these reasons, I am committed to reauthorizing both the America Competes Act and NASA in the coming year."

Last week, Rep. Brian Baird, D-Wash., announced he would not seek re-election next year so he can spend more time with his family and pursue other ways to serve.

6/22/2009--Introduced.Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009 - Amends the federal criminal code to authorize the Attorney General to deny the transfer of a firearm or the issuance of a firearms or explosives license or permit (or revoke such license or permit) if the Attorney General:

(1) determines that the transferee is known (or appropriately suspected) to be engaged in terrorism or has provided material support or resources for terrorism; and
(2) has a reasonable belief that the transferee may use a firearm in connection with terrorism. Allows any individual whose firearms or explosives license application has been denied to bring legal action to challenge the denial. Extends the prohibition against the sale or distribution of firearms or explosives to include individuals whom the Attorney General has determined to be engaged in terrorist activities. Imposes criminal penalties on individuals engaged in terrorist activities who smuggle or knowingly bring firearms into the United States. Authorizes the Attorney General to withhold information in firearms and explosives license denial revocation lawsuits and from employers if the Attorney General determines that the disclosure of such information would likely compromise national security.

Keep in mind who the current U.S. Attorney General is, Eric Holder and his recent actions and inaction's; namely 9/11 terrorist's being moved to New York for trial in Civilian Court, NOT putting club-wielding,voter-intimidating Black Panthers on charges or trial and thus far NOT going after A.C.O.R.N. for numerous, obvious breaches of law including voter fraud. To prevent the destruction of terrorist and criminal national instant criminal background check system records.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ‘Preserving Records of Terrorist & Criminal Transactions Act of 2009’ or the ‘PROTECT Act of 2009’.

SEC. 2. IDENTIFICATION OF TERRORISTS.
(a) In General- Section 922(t) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after paragraph (6) the following:

(7) If the national criminal background check system indicates that a person attempting to purchase a firearm or applying for a State permit to possess, acquire, or carry a firearm is identified as a known or suspected member of a terrorist organization in records maintained by the Department of Justice or the Department of Homeland Security, including the Violent Gang and Terrorist Organization File, or records maintained by the Intelligence Community, including records maintained under section 343 of the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2003 (50 U.S.C. 404n-2), all records generated in the course of the check of the national criminal background check system, including the ATF Form 4473, that are obtained by Federal and State officials shall be retained for a minimum of 10 years.’.

(b) Conforming Amendment- Section 922(t)(2)(C) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after ‘transfer’ the following: ‘, except as provided in paragraph (7)’.

SEC. 3. RETENTION OF RECORDS.
(a) 180 Days- Section 922(t)(2)(C) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting before ‘destroy’ the following: ‘not less than 180 days after the transfer is allowed,’.

(b) Repeals-

(1) Section 617(a) of Public Law 108-199 (118 Stat. 95) is amended by striking paragraph (2).

(2) Section 615 of Public Law 108-447 (118 Stat. 2915) is amended by striking paragraph (2).

(3) Section 611 of Public Law 109-108 (119 Stat. 2336) is amended by striking paragraph (2).

(4) Section 512 of division B of Public Law 110-161 (121 Stat. 1926) is amended by striking paragraph (2).

(5) Section 511 of division B of Public Law 111-8 (123 Stat. 596) is amended by striking paragraph (2).

Do not forget how you can be directly effected as the video stated, the F.B.I. terrorist watch list. If two senators Ted Kennedy and John Kerry I believe were on the list erroneously or not then you could be as well. Was the White House Watching ?

NewsBusters.org picked-up on something I was musing about myself. I caught 'Your World' w/Neil Cavuto on Fox News 12/11/09 interviewing Rep. Aaron Schock, (R-Ill.).

In this segment pork projects,earmarks and federal spending were the issue at hand.

As I watched, Cavuto took the Republican Rep. to task about a number of his own pork projects and cost, with Cavuto making the point that no matter the cost or from which party we cannot afford it. What immediately came to mind is all the claims about Fox News being a "mouthpiece" for the RNC and just how laughable that claim is.

NewsBusters.org commented on the above and also the weekend edition of "America's News HQ" co-host, Gregg Jarrett who challenged Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) on the very same issue.

I did not catch the Jarrett piece live but both interviews are presented via Newsbusters.org;



Now some people out there may claim that Rep. Aaron Schock is new to the national scene and obviously young,so it was easy for Fox and also not damage their "mouthpiece" status. But that claim is ripped apart when it comes to Chuck Grassley,as he is no stranger to the national political landscape or the media for that matter.

(Note on Grassley: "I don't know" is an inexcusable answer.)

These are just two recent examples of just how wrong the left is about Fox News. I also believe that this shows what a news organization should in fact be doing; no matter the party,hold these politicians feet to the fire!

Finally, I leave with an exit question: Was the White House watching?

Argueing With Idiots

Some readers of this blog may have noticed that this author holds Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) in high regard although I reside in Michigan. I believe this man is a real Conservative and speaks my language. I also believe that he may be destined for higher office due to him being, borrowing Joe Bidens phrase, "clean and articulate".

Having set the stage I must now introduce the idiot; Andrea Mitchell of msnbc. This shill is a source of constant laughter for me. You would swear she and Joe Biden are related.

The following video presents both clearly and I love the part where Mitchell states "I will play the devils advocate",well that is very easy for her or anyone on msnbc being they are the devils advocates and she plays her idiotic role well.

(Note the admission by Mitchell at least twice about Americans "not wanting" these programs and "unpopular" with Americans.)

I and many others have been saying that Cap n' Trade / Copenhagen has nothing whatsoever to do with the climate but rather people and the subsequent control of them. This agenda is laid out in the very first two paragraphs of the piece:

"The "inconvenient truth" overhanging the UN's Copenhagen conference is not that the climate is warming or cooling, but that humans are overpopulating the world.

A planetary law, such as China's one-child policy, is the only way to reverse the disastrous global birthrate currently, which is one million births every four days."

One could just stop there in reading "is not about" and "planetary law" to comprehend the real agenda.

But as to that agenda -the control of people- one has to look at who they admire and would model after; China, and at the same time ignore what seemingly is destroying the environment:

"Ironically, China, despite its dirty coal plants, is the world's leader in terms of fashioning policy to combat environmental degradation, thanks to its one-child-only edict".

Really? China the Worlds leader in "fashioning policy to combat environmental degradation" ? I believe many around the globe would differ greatly on that conclusion. But I find modeling population control on China to be absurd being they are the most populous country on Earth.

These accolades for China have not so much to do with "policy" but rather what the particular policies were born out of - Communism.

"Medical and other scientific advances have benefited by delivering lower infant mortality rates as well as longevity. Both are welcome, but humankind has not yet recalibrated its behavior"

Now the above quote combines health care with laws governing procreation. If you can ration health care,set laws as to births allowed and have abortions on demand this will lead to a decrease in population to be sure, but I ask to my point, which is easier to "control"; 1 person or 10?

This is how they summarized their piece:

"The point is that Copenhagen's talking points are beside the point.

The only fix is if all countries drastically reduce their populations, clean up their messes and impose mandatory conservation measures."

I believe their summerization did a great job in outing and proving the real agenda behind Copenhagen.

The New York Times '09 Holiday Gift Guide page has some intriguing suggestions.

There's the “Holiday Books Guide,” the “Personal Tech Holiday Gift Guide,” the guide for people of color...

Wait. A separate gift page for people of color? Yes. The NYT Picker blog noticed the Times has a special gift section for non-whites:

We don't like to throw around words like "racist" in the same sentence as the NYT's name, but there's no other word we can think of to describe this page in the NYT's annual Holiday Gift Guide -- called "Of Color/Stylish Gifts" and aimed exclusively at the paper's non-white readers.

Or, as the NYT describes it, “gifts created for and by people of color"....it's the first time we can remember a gift guide, anywhere, openly defining its offerings by their appeal to a specific racial group.

The top of the page features an introduction by Simone Oliver, who seems to mostly produce “Trendspotting” videos for nytimes.com:

Somali fashion, do-it-yourself henna kits, children's books that draw inspiration from the lives of Barack Obama and Sonia Sotomayor: it's not hard to find gifts created for and by people of color this holiday season.

Among her suggestions: “Wise Latina” T-Shirts. Oliver explained:

Wise shoppers can commemorate the moment in history when Sonia Sotomayor was sworn in as the first Hispanic justice to the Supreme Court, not to mention when she uttered one of the most memorable quotes of 2009: “Wise Latina.” Bonus: 15 percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Bronx Global Learning Institute for Girls.

That's not even journalistically accurate: Sotomayor's controversial “wise Latina” remark was made in 2001.

Mediaite's Glynnis MacNicol was taken aback by the separate gifts of color page as well, calling it “badly, terribly thought out, bordering on offensive....I am utterly amazed it made it past the editing process and am baffled why anyone felt the need to separate these gifts from the more generalized categories into which all these items fit, to one based on skin color.”

CBO: 2010 deficit higher than 2009 in first 2 months of year...

I was perusing the drudgereport and the title above for obvious reasons caught my attention. Linking to it brought me to the following piece from Reuters on a recent Congressional Budget Office report.

This government entity, the CBO, is a presumably non-partisan body functioning for the purpose of what it's title suggests - budgeting.

It is a relatively short article and there are many large numbers so as to confuse any liberal readers out there, so to them I apologize in advance. I am aware many of you fully and completely understand the dire nature of the current fiscal crisis,but the key part of this article is in the very last paragraph (Reuters) and serves to erase any confusion as to why Obamacare and Cap and Trade must not come to pass.

WASHINGTON, Dec 4 (Reuters)

The U.S. government racked up a gaping shortfall in the first two months of this fiscal year after posting a record budget deficit last year, congressional analysts said on Friday.

In October and November, the government spent $292 billion more than it took in, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said.

That was even worse than the same period last year, when the government was on its way to posting a record $1.4 trillion deficit for the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30

The federal budget has been battered by the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression of the 1930s, as tax revenues have plunged and spending on safety-net programs like unemployment insurance have skyrocketed.

The budget deficit was $176.4 billion in October, according to Treasury Department records, and the CBO estimated the deficit for November will have come in at $115 billion.

The CBO gave its figures in billions of dollars and said numbers may not add up to the totals because of rounding.

Receipts totaled $132 billion in November, the CBO estimated, down 9 percent from the same month last year. That was partly due to new legislation that gives increased tax write-offs to corporations.

Outlays were down $23 billion from a year earlier, the CBO estimated, as the government spent less on federal programs to stem the financial crisis.


That bears repeating;

Now how that is even possible is beyond my own comprehension when factoring in extended unemployment benefits,Cash for Clunkers,TARP II,Omnibus,Stimulus,Mexico City policy,COBRA coverage,uptick in the S-chip program ,,,,,,etc. Of course unless you figure in DEFENSE SPENDING CUT'S in a very volatile world,it maybe correct?

But even if you take that sentence at face value and consider the current recession of which we have not yet recovered, how can anyone possibly want to add $1 - $3 trillion to the deficit in Nationalized healthcare alone?

If ("if" - small word,large meaning) in fact outlays (spending) were curtailed to stem the financial crisis, what possible reason would there be to exponentially increase those outlays over and above $23 billion in the very same recession you were wishing to stem ?

Now the CBO being a government entity is always suspect in their analysis which brings me to this abbreviated report from Heritage.com regarding the cost of Cap and Trade along with bringing into question the CBO's integrity itself ;

Last week (June '09), the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released their analysis of the Waxman-Markey climate change bill that had proponents of the bill claiming Americans could save the planet for just $175 per household. That was the figure CBO estimated cap and trade would cost households in 2020 alone.

Both the CBO's analysis and the subsequent legislation are troubled: The analysis grossly underestimates economic costs while the legislation will have virtually no impact on climate. Overall, there are a number of basic problems with CBO's analysis:

•Their allowance cost numbers do not add up;
•They ignore economic costs such as the decrease in gross domestic product (GDP) as a result of the bill; and
•The analysis is an accounting analysis, not an economic analysis.,,,,

,,,,,Higher Taxes and Economic Devastation in Return for ... Nothing?

Regardless of the CBO's cost estimates of the Waxman-Markey cap-and-trade program, the necessary second part of the question--what benefits do the costs generate?--remains unanswered. Americans will get almost nothing in exchange for these higher taxes, and the legislation will provide nothing for future generations except more debt and less economic opportunity. According to climatologist Chip Knappenberger, Waxman-Markey would moderate temperatures by only hundredths of a degree in 2050 and no more than two-tenths of a degree at the end of the century. This does not sound like a great deal for the next generation--millions of lost jobs, trillions of lost income, 50-90 percent higher energy prices, and stunning increases in the national debt, all for undetectable changes in world temperature.

The CBO analysis of Waxman-Markey fails to take into account all the adverse effects that will ripple through the U.S. economy if cap and trade becomes law. CBO's grossly underestimated costs means Members of Congress will be grossly misinformed when voting on the legislation.


Anybody with 5Th grade level math comprehension can easily deduce that either program on it's own is an economy killer but when combined they will serve to be a Nation killer - OUR NATION.

B. Hussein Calculating ?

I ran across an article on newsweek.com titled ‘The Post-Imperial Presidency’ by By Fareed Zakaria published Dec 5, 2009, that basically tries very hard to explain Obamas’ foreign policy in the aftermath of B. Hussein's speech last week announcing his conflicting and defeatist Afghanistan decision/policy.

Of course Zakaria fills it with soaring rhetoric and silly historic comparisons (revisionist conclusions) and even the title throws out the term ‘Imperial’ suggesting that which never has been in our history let alone foreign policy.

There is much to dispel in this article but one paragraph stuck out like a sore thumb which was near the beginning but serves better as Zackariah's’ summation;

“This first year of his presidency has been a window into Barack Obama's world view. Most presidents, once they get hold of the bully pulpit, cannot resist the temptation to become Winston Churchill. They gravitate to grand rhetoric about freedom and tyranny, and embrace the moral drama of their role as leaders of the free world. Even the elder Bush, a pragmatist if there ever was one, lapsed into dreamy language about "a new world order" once he stood in front of the United Nations. Not Obama. He has been cool and calculating, whether dealing with Russia, Iran, Iraq, or Afghanistan. A great orator, he has, in this arena, kept his eloquence in check. Obama is a realist, by temperament, learning, and instinct. More than any president since Richard Nixon, he has focused on defining American interests carefully, providing the resources to achieve them, and keeping his eyes on the prize.”


So in Zakarias’ view ,‘freedom’ of which our Nation was founded let alone from ‘tyranny’ is just rhetoric and a sitting U.S. President (no matter his or her party affiliation) should not gravitate to such a basic American principle?

Well I suppose that does go a long way in defining B. Hussein's domestic policy,but as contemptible and dangerous as that is, it also shows contempt for the foreign human condition living under tyrannical regimes as well.

So much for B. Hussein's grand rhetoric of ‘I am my brothers keeper’?

As to his view on President George H.W. Bush (Bush 41) I would agree on the label ‘pragmatist’ he applies but differ from the example he gives and the wording. A New World Order functioning under the United Nations is not pragmatic whatsoever but rather problematic as it would lead to global anarchy. Now that scenario is not, in my view is not ‘dreamy’ but a real nightmare.

Zacharia continues:
“He (B. Hussein) has been cool and calculating, whether dealing with Russia, Iran, Iraq, or Afghanistan”.

Really? I mean really,what alternate universe does he live? I wonder where I can purchase a bubble ,if in fact he exists in this universe, like Zacharia has so I won’t hear what is happening in the real world !

B. Hussein gives Vladamir Putin what he wants; a reversal of American missile defense commitment and policy to and for Eastern Europe including Poland,Hungary,Georgia and the Czech Republic (our allies). In return, Putin (Russia) says it will build missile defense albeit in their territory yet in the same region where we now will not.

Putin did not stop there, he went on to state “That Russia reserves the right to a preemptive nuclear strike”.

I would submit Putin is the calculating leader in this relationship and B. Hussein has not taken ‘Negotiation 101’.

Calculating with Iran?


The daily news headlines about Iran,concrete verifiable actions by Iran and Iranian President Ahmadinejads’ public statements dispel any notion of calculation on B. Hussein's part.

If there was anytime since 1979 (think President Carter) for American calculation regarding Iran, it was totally bypassed by B. Hussein in not supporting the people of Iran uprising against their tyrannical government

Again,it is not B. Hussein that is calculating here but rather Ahmadinejad.

It was President George W. Bush (Bush 43) who did the calculating regarding Iraq.

Granted B. Hussein owns the situation now as far as American involvement is concerned,but any and all calculation belongs to the new leadership of Iraq as we are still there at their request and also the United Nations to a great degree.

If B. Hussein want’s to pull-out of Iraq, which is a very simplistic notion,then do so. This would be categorized as a decision,not calculation. I believe, as do others in ‘the know’ such a move now would be very irresponsible at the very least but certainly not defined as a calculated move.

Now we go to the original basis for Zacharia’s article, B. Hussein's long awaited decision on Afghanistan.

Once again the description of calculating simply cannot be applied here.

Better adjectives can easily be utilized to describe B. Hussein's decision such as, but not limited to; confusing,conflicting,confounding and where our troops are concerned the term contemptible comes first and foremost in my mind.

As to my question of a bubble purchase,,well I was being sarcastic as to wanting one. I would rather pop those bubbles that trap these ignorant folk so as to give them real eyesight rather than the prism of utopia thru a bubble.

Week in Review

Unemployment 'unexspectedly' drops from 10.2% to 10.0% !



Well now we know the recession is officially over,the stimulus worked in 'real' congressional district's and we can all sigh a big breath of relief and spend,spend,spend like drunken sailors (no offense intended to our U.S. Navy) for Christmas !

Hold on, if we figure in the folks not counted 'officially' whose unemployment benifits have been exhausted, have taken part-time work or just given up we are sitting at an unemployment rate of double, yep 20%.
Save your now worthless dollars folks,pay your debts and give I.O.U.'s to the kid's for Christmas. Prepare for the worst yet to come.

Yep, 14 days since the story of the hacked emails and documents revealing the fraud of 'man-made' global warming took the world by storm (forgive the pun) and yet not one story about it on ABC, CBS or NBC ?
Maybe, just maybe they are waiting for the White House to direct them how to present this breaking story officially?

B. Hussein Obama Owns it Now



Well after dithering for 100 days after his hand-picked General McCrystal gave his recommendation as to troop levels in Afghanistan (60,000) to win it, B. Hussein stepped up his support for the troops and the wars uncertain outcome. Yes, uncertain. He is giving McCrystal half the troops requested to be there by June 2010 and out by 1 years time. so no win there. Then ALL out by 2013, so again no win being the troop level will be back to where it is as of this writing.

 I guess my word 'uncertain' does not apply after all. If we were to take a seasoned U.S. General at his word,and this blogger does, then a defeat in Afghanistan is expected unfortunately,especially for our troops and their families.

Either way you look at this, B. Hussein OWNS this war now no matter the outcome.


Four Law Enforcement Officers Slain in Washington State





 I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the families and fellow officers of these four policemen, may they rest in peace as that is what they worked at in life to maintain.

When I learned more of the habitual criminal that murdered these men while they were sitting for breakfast, all I saw was liberal judicial activism that led to this eventual tragic ending. If laws were left as they should be, the murderer would still be in an Arkansas prison serving a life sentence and the four officers pictured above would still be with us today.

Jobs Summit will not produce jobs

It is easy to confidently predict that Barack Obama's job summit today will not do anything to create jobs. It's so easy to predict even a climatologist could do it.

The President will hold this "jobs summit" today at the White House -- where a lot of folks who have never created a single job will talk about everything except serious and adult ideas on how to realistically create jobs.

While the complete list of attendees was not available at press time, we do know that the summiteers will include labor union members, environmentalists and liberal economists from the world of academia. The historical entirety of these groups' job creation: zero.

Actually, most of what these particular groups agitate for are causes that generally destroy jobs -- or at least productivity -- so the real figure is no doubt a large negative number.

Meanwhile, members from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) have less chance of getting in to the White House today than the latest reality TV show contestants from some obscure BRAVO network offering. I mean really, why would you invite business groups to a jobs summit after all?

Yes, I know that representatives from Google and other selected high tech and Wall Street types will be at this summit, and they should be. However, large tech companies or investment banks who are closely linked to government and liberal causes should not be the sole representatives of free enterprise at a jobs summit. Especially when an entire nation is in the midst of a jobs recession, if not depression. Quite often, these big players are disconnected from the concerns of small business people such as contractors, shop owners and artisans at best -- or working at cross purposes at worst.

In other words, the real engine of job creation will not even have a seat at the "jobs summit" while many enemies of these people will have numerous seats.

Hopefully, the entire thing will end up being merely a cynical yet benign photo op so that the President can pretend to care about an entire economic system that he spent most of the last twenty years admitting to despising. With his agenda and the attendees known so far, if anything is accomplished it most certainly will be damaging to free markets. That is who these people are. Many have a track record of hurting business interests and are proud of it.

Conversely, the causes of the job situation have been painfully obvious for many months to the entrepreneurial class. Last December, when a devastating job loss of over 530 thousand was reported for November 2008, the handwriting was on the wall for all who dared to see. As written here at that time about our plans to unwind our business of 19 years

Watch the financial news and you will see continued job cuts each month. We are not alone in our strategy. Far from it. Atlas has shrugged all over the country.


Apparently, I or any other business owner who started shutting down or scaling back the day after the election am overqualified to be a pundit on CNBC or Fox Business.

For some reason, the "Atlas Shrugged" dynamic continues to be missed by almost the entire political and financial pundit class. They continue to be shocked by the jobs numbers each month and continue to predict "the coming recovery" as if nothing has changed in our nation. There is an assumption that the economy will bounce back because -- well -- it always has. Small business owners everywhere wonder what country these people are talking about. We know when we are under attack. And by we, I mean the entire concept of free enterprise and entrepreneurship as well as current business owners.

As written last December:

Like many business owners, we are no longer willing to take all of the financial and legal risks and put up with all of the aggravation of owning and running a business. Not with the prospects of even higher taxes, more regulation, more litigation and more emboldened bureaucrats on the horizon. Like others we know, we are getting out while the getting is, well, tolerable.


Remember, this was written some four thousand pages (of Obama Care legislation) ago and before the House had passed Cap and Trade legislation. This is not rocket science, nor was this unbelievably astute forecasting. People who have a dream to build a better life by taking risks and starting a business instinctively know when those principles are under attack.

The prediction of "higher taxes, more regulation, more litigation and more emboldened bureaucrats on the horizon" sounds like we all had advance copies of both Cap and Tax and ObamaCare legislation in our possession a year ago. We did not. But we knew who Obama was and is and we know who Reid, Pelosi, Frank, Dodd, Waxman, Waters et al are.

It does not require a genius -- or even a climatologist -- to figure out what kind of business environment will result when the levers of government are all to be controlled by folks who despise business. The passion for taking risks is cooling fast, and you don't need "value added" calculations to figure that one out.

And it is just as easy to predict that the White House jobs summit will do nothing to increase those passions either. Most of the people at this sham event either know nothing about how to promote business -- or they know how and have dedicated their life's work to doing the opposite. Again, this was painfully obvious right after the election:

Liberals seem to be clueless as to where "the money" comes from. They love to tax, regulate and redistribute wealth -- all the while decrying the very profit motive that created it -- something they do not understand.


The lay-offs of November 2008 - which will be part of George W. Bush's statistical record - fall in reality on the Obama election. Business owners understand that the election just gave a lot more power to who think like the Illinois liberal "President elect" who chose another Illinois liberal for his Chief of Staff (and) Michigan liberals for his economic team. Illinois and Michigan are broke!

These thoughts were made fun of across the liberal blogosphere 11 months ago, especially the part about the job losses being the result of Obama's election. Let's see, that would be about six million jobs ago.

As Scott Rasmussen showed on his website, the layoff mentality did indeed start right as Obama's election became inevitable in October and it surged in November upon the election and has stayed high ever since. As predicted, the layoffs have indeed continued, as most entrepreneurs knew they would.

And we are predicting that the White House jobs summit will do nothing to help any of this. Nothing from Washington will, unless a lot of congressional jobs are lost in 2010. And that is very, very easy indeed to predict.
