Austrian MP Dresses Down Turkey BIG TIME! - Plus, The Chevy Volt - Taxpayer Loser

Austrian MP Ewald Stadler addresses Turkish Ambassador
You will have to pause some on this video to read the English translation but it is well worth understanding this man's word's, the tone with which he uses you will obviously understand.

Big H/T tip to Banned for that video!

Now, this is another thing altogether that has been burning my ass,,,,,,,

The Chevy Volt - Taxpayer Loser

Mayor Virg Bernero, (D-Lansing, MI), on the Fox Business Network discussing the Chevy Volt and GM. This is the jackass that ran for Governor of my State.

All that notwithstanding, the vehicle takes 9 HOURS to charge. If as advertised it gets 25-50 miles to ONE charge, you had better keep the gas tank full at all times let alone save your money due to the fact your electricity bill will necessarily sky-rocket.

The government is buying almost 50% of all electric cars.  I predict quite a scandal in a few years as some news organization uncovers tens of thousands of these cars sitting around unused by the government agencies they were foisted upon.

This is a great example of how government involvement in the free market place just ends up wasting money.

Cheers Captain,,, My pleasure. One who enjoys writing and sharing their thoughts on the worlds' current situation should always continue to do so.

Thank You and stay warm over there, you folks are getting nailed by all this 'global warming'.

Well Silver I had not thought about that aspect of this debacle but believe you are right on target.

Odie,,You are fired up!!!

It is hard to believe that Turkey is actually a member of NATO and that is the reason we did not (although I agree with you) wipe them off the map.

We sure could plant a lot of trees for $7500, as that is what taxpayers are giving each and every buyer of this POS car. A repeat of cash for clunkers.

Happy Chanukah Angel and hope the very same for you! :)

It would seem as though politicians and people in general for that matter are finally starting to wake up no matter where they reside and that is a very good sign!

Yay, spread the word about that Ewald stadler   :-D in the mode of Nigel Farage and Dan Hannan; speaking for the people.

The vid about the electic car is "not available in your country" so I dunno if they are 'all electric, battery  powered from the mains" or  Hybrid. If the latter then, to be honest, I have friends who have them, they re-utilise otherwise wasted energy to charge the battery which kicks in at low speed and gives 50-80mpg (UK gallons) against 30mpg for a regular family car.
Costwise :-$ that speaks for itself without need for eco-loonery :-P  but the downside is that you have no trunk because it's full of battery.

Anyone buying the Volt should simply be shot.

No way you save any money on gas.  Between the electric bill and the 8 grand (last I heard) to replace the battery, you've saved nothing.  You've probabl;y lost money over a purely gas vehicle.

So, 32,500? with a 7 grand gov rebate paid by US. for a 4 seat piece of crap that goes 40 miles on a charge and up to 300 miles if you use the engine as well.
You GOT to be kidding me.

This thing with its lawnmower recharging engine has got to be much less costly to build.  No 6 or 8 cylinder engine. Not much exhaust, No cooling system, No differential or transmission.  Just some electric motors just behind the wheels.  Is it even 2 or 4 wheel optional drive?  You GOT to be kidding me.

A Toyota Sienna van for example going for 27 grand is 5 times the vehicle and utility capacity as this puddle jumper.  Honestly, just shoot the people buying these as they leave the dealerships.

Here is America's first YUGO.  Unreal.  Bet a bunch of kids buy these thing though..

Now that's the way to tell it like is. I noticed no teleprompter. It gives some hope that Europe might begin to get it. Many in Turkey must be chronically depressed over what is happening to their once secular government.

Those white board figure on The Volt are disgusting. Another scam.

Banned, I thank you for the link to this video and am very happy to broadcast all truth-sayers no matter the point of origin! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

As to the car, well it's a Fox News affiliated channel so being Fox and Sky News are sister broadcasters both owned by Murdoch maybe he does not wish competition between both? I can only get very limited Sky News videos here, mainly fluff from both the U.K. and Australia.

And yes, it is a hybrid.

Hey Kid,,,, I don't know about shooting them, kinda extreme, maybe psychologically examined for a time.

Other than that I agree.

Hi Maggie,,, Awesome huh! I believe he was speaking in the Austrian Parliament? so I do not believe (like our congress) they have teleprompters. But on that note I noticed no notes either, those words were from the heart which tells me he meant every single, solitary word he uttered.

To the car,,,,scam is an understatement!
