No I did not serve on that Jury so have no idea what they heard but I do not fault them. The reason for this is I have served as a Juror and as the Foreman of said body of Peers and what one hears in court is greatly different than what the media portrays.

I mean to speak on the Anthony family and alike. In my past I have known of a family that the Anthony's remind me of exactly. Friend's, I extracted myself as soon as possible as soon as I reconsigned just how destructive they were,,to each other (leaving me aside).
Forget the verdict.
Turn to your right, turn to you left, have eyes behind your head, This is not at all limited to Florida, this shit is all around you be they arrested, convicted or released or not yet committed a crime,,they are right there in your neighborhood.

Your larger point is an excellent one: Use your eyes and your ears, and more importantly, you instinct, which is informed by the information you take in. If it looks wrong or weird or just gives you the creeps, even if you can't explain it, run. Get away.

Jaded,,,, I was much younger when I met up with people such as the Anthony's and thank God I had the presence of mind to get the hell outta Dodge. I think the real eye-opener was when their relatives from CA came to town, Holy shit these people were even more bat-shit crazy than the ones here!

Kid,,,I agree with all you state, Like it or not we all know people and dysfunctional families just like the Anthony's and they may be living right next door.
As to the media, they will perpetuate any story so long as the public is willing to consume it and that is a societal failing IMHO. I know some people who followed this case from the beginning very closely and for the life of me I do not know why, but this is the type the media feeds off of. Like car chases in CA, people watch for hours sometimes hoping for a shoot-out or some such calamity just to see someone stop, lie on the ground and give up. We have to stop watching, not caring, but watching. We have enough on our plates right at home to take time for this BS.

I tend to agree Chris but the problem with their plan has to do with the definition with our jury system or in short i.e. a jury of your peers. What would they do to solve this as no American could ever be described as such for KSM, fly in some captives from GITMO to serve on the jury?
The whole idea is ridiculous on it's face and they know it and that is the reason it has not gone forward.

As to the protection, well the sheriffs were duty bound but for the rest of her life she had better watch her back. I myself would not even seek her out but there are plenty people that would and dare say will.
