Well is this not Friggin' Sweet? America listening to a future King?????
I love my British brethren but really? Americans, or as you may refer to us as 'Yanks' or even 'Colonists' to this day do not listen too Hollywood nor should YOUR future King for that matter should you keep this ridiculous and impractical practice of a Monarchy.
Sky News produced this arrogant and distorted piece,,,,,,
By the by William and Kate, stay the hell away from Streisand as she is the modern day Medusa!

I think these Royals are great and a breath of fresh air. They are only using hollywood to raise MILLIONS for their charities. I don't think they're stupid enough to actually listen to the peasants.
I felt scared for them too, when that old hag got hear them. Streisand is such a harpie, she makes medusa look good.
It begs the question of exactly what charity? Would it be here in America say in the Appalachians, Inner cities or even starving farmers?
As to the term 'peasants', I reject it out of hand no matter to whom it may be applied, it is demeaning and derogatory and unworthy of any American to even annunciate.
I have no idea of the "hag" you speak of at this writing but what was scary? Was she a "peasant" that you speak of? Did she pose a 'real and present danger'"?
Please, lets get real, These people are but humans just like you and me and no bloodline says any different. Fresh air maybe, for that clan but for America nothing but a hiccup as we have out lasted quite a few.
Can we help the fact that you guys are so into celebrity-crushes?
Sure Will and Kate (we call them now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge) are pretty much fresh air even for us in Britain but that you guys go ga-ga is simply your problem.
If you ask the authorities and organisers they will say the visit into the US was not official but it helps galvanise the strong relationship between our two nations. Personally, it does but in a clever way from the Palace here as we have for decades ensured some form of revenge on you upstart colonialists that you may be richer and more powerful, but you have no idea of elegance and culture ( :) ).
Seriously though, the Monarch here in Britain is a good thing in my view, from a British perspective. I understand those that live in nations built on conflict and revolution not understanding. We have tradition and that includes symbolism as much as you have yours that binds your own nations. The Monarchy politically is a rubber-stamp but at the same time it galvanises our people and legally it ensures a constant organisation that watches our rights regardless of what political parties take control that may wish to usurp it.
Yes, we may be into grand pomp and ceremony, but tell try and tell us that you all do not love it as well!

ps, of course, we can add that for us the new breed is a breath of fresh air....
So, a couple people got married. Please. I couldn't be less interested. I have nothing against them, I just couildn't be less interested in them anymore than a couple people that got married in Gary, Indiana last week.
Simply put Damien. I am taking to task Sky News in this piece in painting with such a wide brush how they believe Americans really are and in not separating those idiots that fall into the category you mention from those of us in the majority who live in Realville*.
As to your Royalty, if you do not have a problem with them or the institution far be it from me to differ as I live here but if all remember the actions of those who worship such people, this is exactly what got Princess Di killed, God rest her.
Again, it is not that I dislike the couple at all but rather Sky News in their report.
Exactly Kid, As a matter of fact I wish them well really.
My point here was to show how we in general are being portrayed across the pond by Sky News which for the majority could not be further from the truth.
Indeed Teresa, they make a fine looking couple but like you i could not care where they travel or if at all and wish the British press would point this out.
Interesting comments and I rather inclined to support them. Media hype only pushes the celebrity-worship element that not only affects certain royals, look at the Beckham spectical as an example and the cases of celebs having to put restraining orders.
Just to continue on one point, having said regarding the celeb-worship-frenzy, rather in my opinion, it is not the worship of these people that got Princess Diana killed but rather greediness from certain tabloid media centres that wanted to make a buck from that level of near-worship. How do we distinguish who is responsible, the mad desire to celebrate/worship or the people who provoke, encourage and profit from it?
You pose (in other word's) the age old question of which came first, the chicken or the egg?
My answer to the chicken question remains; Who cares as we have both?
As to what we speak of though the answer is the same but it is not 'who' but rather 'what' we lay responsibility and my response to that is society at large. It is up to all who may bring children into this world to teach them.
I was raised to hold no one person above God. To this very day my personal hero's are my parents, God Rest Them. I have a page tab at the top of others I call heroes and admire, a former British PM included, but know all are or remain UNDER God and that is the difference.
It is fine and dandy to like and or favour* a movie star, athlete, musician and yes Royalty but that is where it should stop and it is up to parents to teach this,,everyday in my humble opinion.

The Hollywood elite love the Monarchy. They really wish we hadn't won the revolutionary war. :)
I'm with you, I cannot understand the American royal worship.
Hollywood is the modern day "Loyalists" and more had better know it!
See below Trestin. I am with you in not understanding this crap?
Sure I like Lady Di and kin but really? From America and not even a State visit?

I think the're a cute couple! But I could care less that they're visiting Hollywood.

Not sure if you mispelled your last word Odie but either way it works for a good laugh! ;)
