I think you could pay a teacher 200k a year for 9 months worth of work, and it still wouldn't be enough. They're an out of control mob. Exceptions for everything if you happen to be one of the rare teachers out there actually trying to teach. And I know there are some but their numbers are fewer and fewer as time rolls on in a diseased environment such as public education in America is.
I was switched to "public education" from a private Catholic School after 6 years of education (economics) in 1977 and found I was YEARS in advance of my peers and found the teaching to be blunt lacking and that was in 7th grade.
Advance to my 9th grade "public whatever", I found them teaching in the English class "Paragraphing a Sentence" which I had learned in Catholic School in the 4th grade! I even had to correct the teacher as she dared me (as I laughed out loud when the subject was introduced and the reason why) to do so on the blackboard, she thought to correct me and she was the one corrected,,by me.
Advance to my "Government class" in my Senior Year and I gave this communist liberal whore a talk in front of class about stopping her attempted Marxist indoctrination, explaining it was fine for comparative studies but not to promote her agenda, which she was doing. This of course brought about her attempt to silence me, NOT. Other students stood up with me and said the same in backing me. She lost control (if any) of the class and the principle got involved,,mistake on her part,,as my Dad also got involved and that was the end of her, not professionally sadly, but that year of her promoting Marxism.
At my graduation, upon leaving that is she wished me well and I told her to take her Marxist ways and go to hell!

I went to 8 years of patriotic, capitalist loving catholic school taught by ninja nuns. God knows how long it would have taken me otherwise to straighten out my brain...
