I tend to agree as well as share the mistrust Eurip. At the same though I also see Romney as the 'establishment man' in the long run which will not sell well to us in the Tea Party frame of mind, at least not mine.
That said, I believe as it stands right now anyhow (things can and do change) the RNC, if it wishes one of it's own in the White House, will have to accept and support with full force and money Perry who is by far more palatable to those of us put-off by Romney.
I am not putting my money on anyone yet but time is beginning to run short for newcomers with one exception and that being Sarah Palin.
Cheers Banned, You think you are getting to grips with this,,,try being an American voter?????
Perry does talk the talk but much more needs to be flushed out especially his stance on immigration legal or otherwise and related issues. As to who is running that really looks and sounds like my kinda guy is actually Herman Cain.
Thank you for the link (answer that is) to my inquiry. Max did a great job with that! I have been so busy with work it is hard to keep up and I really appreciate you thinking to remind me of that thought and pointing the way to the answer, truly interesting.
No problem Odie, there is much more about Perry to learn but I did like what he stated in this address.
God knows it is more than the current POTUS has ever said about our military be they past or present. Some might ask why I say "more", well this is due to the fact it comes from his heart.

Perry's looking a lot like the guy the RNC will nominate to run for president. However, can we trust the RNC?

I'm still getting to grips with the main players in your upcoming elections but Perry looks like your kind of guy.
Meanwhile, in response to your comment over at my place Chris

Thanks Christopher for another look at Perry.

He's driving the left to conniption fits and outraged rants, so there must be something good about him.
Who will I voter for? ABO! Anybody But Obama!
Romney, Gingrich, Perry, Bachman, doesn't matter. I would vote for a pencil over Obama.
I agree Silver. As to voting in the primaries, I think it is unwise for any of us to settle for any one candidate as it is too early in the game.
Now in the general election I again agree but a pencil? Don't we already dead wood full of lead and head of rubber in the WH?
I guess if a pencil did win though at least it will have come from the private sector but the name would bother me,,,,,No. 2.
