I am sure most reading this are more than aware of their local events and I am wondering if this idea that is being promoted in my area by Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers might be being replicated around the Nation?
In brief,,,,,
Here’s how it works:
– Stop by any Metro Detroit Chevy Dealer beginning August 25th
– Make a $5 donation and receive a floating sky lantern (All proceeds to benefit the Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division Emergency Disaster Services)
– On 9/11 at 9:11 p.m. please join us in lighting the lantern in remembrance.
In any event I hope my local fellow Patriots will join in this event as I myself believe it's a good idea and a very good cause.

I'm not sure that this is going on in the DC area.
I'm in the process of trying to find a memorial service that is handicapped accessible for Mr. AOW.
I'm getting thoughts of these lanterns having nukes attached to them and them floating eastward...
They will be honored !
That's more than can be said for New York. It looks like they'll have a new Mosque before there's a new World Trade Center ... SHAMEFUL!

AOW, Most likely not (Sky Lanterns) in and around the DC area due to tight airspace control which is understandable.
I am quite positive you will be successful in your search for a memorial service to accommodate both you and Mr. AOW.

Shameful, deplorable, disgusting, loathsome and most of all DISRESPECTFUL.
