Nero in the White House

Nero in the White House
By Mychal Massie
(Ilustrations added by CP)

Three significant historical events have been eclipsed by Obama: 1) Jimmy Carter will no longer be looked upon as the worst president in American history; 2) Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton will no longer be recognized as the greatest liars in presidential history; 3) Clinton's stain on Monica's dress, and what that did to the White House in general and the office of the president specifically, will forever pale in comparison to the stain and stench of Obama.

I need not spend much time on the failure of Obama as president. His tenure has been a failure on every measurable level. So much so, in fact, that some of the staunchest, most respected liberal Democrats and Democratic supporters have not only openly criticized him – some even more harshly than this essayist – but they have called for him to step down.

Richard Nixon's words "I am not a crook," punctuated with his involvement in Watergate, and Bill Clinton's finger-wagging as he told one of the most pathetic lies in presidential history, in the aftermath of Obama, will be viewed as mere prevarications.

Mr. Nixon and Clinton lied to save their backsides. Although, I would argue there are no plausible explanations for doing what they did, I could entertain arguments pursuant to understanding their rationales for lying. But in the case of Obama, he lies because he is a liar. He doesn't only lie to cover his misdeeds – he lies to get his way. He lies to belittle others and to make himself look presentable at their expense. He lies about his faith, his associations, his mother, his father and his wife. He lies and bullies to keep his background secret. His lying is congenital and compounded by socio-psychological factors of his life.

Never in my life, inside or outside of politics, have I witnessed such dishonesty in a political leader. He is the most mendacious political figure I have ever witnessed. Even by the low standards of his presidential predecessors, his narcissistic, contumacious arrogance is unequaled. Using Obama as the bar, Nero would have to be elevated to sainthood.

As the stock markets were crashing, taking with them the remaining life savings of untold tens of thousands, Obama was hosting his own birthday celebration, which was an event of epicurean splendidness. The shamelessness of the event was that it was not a state dinner to welcome foreign dignitaries, nor was it to honor an American accomplishment – it was to honor the Pharaoh, Barack Hussein Obama. The event's sole purpose was for the Pharaoh to have his loyal subjects swill wine, indulge in gluttony and behavior unfit to take place on the property of taxpayers, as they suffer. It was of a magnitude comparable to that of Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski's $2 million birthday extravaganza for its pure lack of respect for the people.

Permit me to digress momentarily. The U.S. Capitol and the White House were built with the intent of bringing awe and respect to America and her people. They were also built with the intent of being the greatest of equalizers. I can tell you, having personally been to both, there is a moment of awe and humility associated with being in the presence of the history of those buildings. They are to be honored and inscribed into our national psyche, not treated as a Saturday night house party at Chicago's Cabrini-Green.

The people of America own that home Obama and his wife continue to debase with their pan-ghetto behavior. It is clear that Obama and family view themselves as royalty, but they're not. They are employees of "we the people," who are suffering because of his failed policies. What message does this behavior send to those who today are suffering as never before?

What message does it send to all Americans who are struggling? Has anyone stopped to think what the stock market downturn forebodes for those 80 million baby boomers who will be retiring in the next period of years? Is there a snowball's chance in the Sahara that every news program on the air would applaud this behavior if it were George W. Bush? To that point, do you remember the media thrashing Bush took for having a barbecue at the White House?

Like Nero – who was only slightly less debaucherous than Caligula – with wine on his lips Obama treated "we the people" the way Caligula treated those over whom he lorded.

Many in America wanted to be proud when the first person of color was elected president, but instead, they have been witness to a congenital liar, a woman who has been ashamed of America her entire life, failed policies, intimidation and a commonality hitherto not witnessed in political leaders. He and his wife view their life at our expense as an entitlement – while America's people go homeless, hungry and unemployed.

The Democrats had so many stimulus bills and jobs bills and none of them have worked. Now Obama says that we have to wait till Sept after his vacation to get another useless spending bill. More of the same is just crazy talk.

We need the government out of the economy not more into it. Maybe after the Dow goes down another 1000 points and gold hits $2,500 an oz people will wake up to what the Democratic Party and Obama did to them. The next round of tax toalk needs to get away from the rich and go after liberals that caused this mess in the first place. Go after the greedy unions and their greedy healthcare plans with higher taxes. Go after those that don't pay any federal taxes.

WOW, Mychal lays it all out there for those who've yet to see the Liar-n-chief in his true form.

Good points Chris

Makes one wonder if these people in Atlanta, GA are listening now,,,,,

Christopher said...

He sure does Mark.

Along with Cain, West and others these are the voices the 'black community' (hate that term, we are all American) should be hearing not Jackson, Sharpton, Wright or Jones.

Christopher said...

Agreed and the reason I sought to give it more audience.

I was thinking the same Silver. When I looked into his organization, <span>National Leadership Network of Black Conservatives-Project 21</span> I did remember hearing of it in the run-up the last Novembers election.

In the attributes, the article lists several appearances on major news outlets but whatever the case Mr. Massie needs a far wider audience ASAP and non-stop at least until November 2012.

I concur Odie and we Americans need more voices of reality to speak out just like Mr. Massie !

What Silverfiddle said.  Anybody that can string together words like that needs a louder microphone and a bigger soapbox.

Christopher said...

Once again I agree Inno.

I do not often get the chance to watch the 'Telly' lately (which I and a co-worker Brian feel is a blessing actually) so I have not seen Mr. Massie on the Channels listed, but that said I will be looking to see much more from him in the coming months.

Kid, It is my distinct pleasure in re-publishing Mr. Massie' words (I hope if he sees it he won't mind the added visuals?)

p.s., I just love your last line!

Perhaps he might have a bigger soapbox if he stopped defining himself as Black.

(ps Chris, if you want a truly perv Ceasar to compare Obama to try Bassianus or Heliogabalus, Nero was a monk by comparison).

Cheers Banned,,,If you are referring to Massie and his organization in the short biography please read the second sentence immediately following it.

I may not understand how things work in the UK, but here in the States people of the black persuasion that happen to be conservative are outnumbered in their own "communities" (not my terminology) and often ostracized from them for being so if they speak their mind's. So by including the term "black" along with "conservative" lets others know they are indeed not alone and free to speak and act upon their true belief systems politically at least.

This is not uncommon here and similar to "Log Cabin Republicans", this group is made up of homosexuals. You will note that that life style is not exactly 'conservative' but these folks have been known to be fiscally conservative and extremely patriotic. The point here is of course is that most homosexuals vote liberal for their 'agenda' but there are others in that 'community' that fear the same as black conservatives and that being ostracized when speaking their minds.

Labels, class warfare and racism are the creation of the socialist left and they have done a very good job of it sadly so conservatives of every stripe have to show, by label, just how many we are and thus be welcoming to all,,the proverbial "Big Tent".

Point taken Chris but I am always heartened when I read a story such as "New Conservative Mayor flies England flag from town hall for the first time in ten years, a spokesman for mayor Iqubal Khan said ..."

Christopher said...

The Union Jack was not flown for 10 years over that town hall ?????????? >:o

That is simply unacceptable!

My Lord in Heaven even I as a 'Yank' of Irish and Canadian heritage fly the Union Jack when appropiate and do it respectfully as it came from the battefields of France during WWI via my Canadian Grandfather.

I guess I should not sound surprised in hearing this though being almost every week since we got a socialist president ther are stories just like this here involving Old Glory.

F@%K the socialists!!!

The flag of England is the Cross of St George, pictured. The one you show is the Union Flag of Great Britain of which England is the largest constituent (it is only the Union Jack when on a ships jackstaff).

In the 1970s and 80s far right  groups like the National Front and British National Party were explicitly racist (unlike the current EDL) and made great use of our flag on their tawdry demonstrations and pamphlets. In reaction to this the left, the BBC and their fellow travellers decided that anyone else using our flag must be racists themselves and so our flag nearly disappeared from public life.

The thing that saved it was the soccer World Cup where Englands modest success was greeted by both blue collar and middle England resurecting our flag both at the games and on their cars, shopfronts and homes.

The point about our flag once again being flown over the town hall is that the decision was made by a member of an ethnic  minority group but that fact was immaterial to the story and only came to light when reporting his name.

Christopher said...

Thanks Banned. I am aware of the Cross of St. George but by you making the distinction may inform others. I recognized the irony in the situation given the name of the Mayor but no matter, I am pleased to hear of flying your flag is back in vogue.

p.s., I suppose that outside of the U.K. the name 'Union Jack' has stayed in prominence due to England's former but very long and rich history of maritime greatness known the world over.
