Newsweek Photoshops Bachmann! You Decide

Seems plausible to me as I did not think that 'picture' looked natural either.

The moment I saw this pic, it was obvious that it had been doctored. Funny, years ago I use to read this ragmag.

This one backfired on 'em tho-  even NOW condemned NewsWeak for this brazen -and anti American to the core- smear job

If Fox News can smear Obama as a secret Muslim communist, born in Kenya, who had Bill Ayers ghost write his book, all based on little more than theory and conjecture, then certainly the "liberal media" can play fast and loose with your Chosen One, no?  Isn't that fair play?  Besides, Obama was smeared using made-up conspiracies, and Bachmann is being "smeared" by using her actual beliefs; conservatives might not like it, but once the rest of America starts getting regular reports on her paranoid Christian beliefs they will scratch their heads and say "who is this wacko?"

For the record I've seen pleny of photos of Bachmann where she loked a bit unhinged.

Does anybody read Newsweek?

I believe this kind of attack does the victim more good than harm. Independent and moderate voters are sick of it - that is why they are moderate. It is in the center where the election is going to be won.

I am rather sorry that Newsweek has limited reach.

You open with 'If' which shows you have no proof whatsoever as to your claims about Fox News as they are baseless. When making such claims it is incumbent upon you to provide proof and that is lacking here. All media, print and broadcast have done stories on everything you suggest and yet your liberal mind lays it at the feet of Fox?
Besides, it is Obama who said and I quote "My muslim faith" to George Stephanopoulos. It was Michelle who said of Kenya and I quote "The home of my husband" and if you bothered to read all (doesn't take long) of Obamas writing and that of terrorist Ayres it is quite obvious who wrote what when comparing styles.
As to "Chosen One", that terminology is reserved for your group as we on the right have what is called a primary and that has not been held yet

"Isn't that fair play?"

What I posted about is a doctored image here, so no it is not fair play. It is one thing for say editorial cartoonists to 'draw' pictures of characters but quite another for a national publication to alter an actual photograph of anyone. Fair play, no shameful and Americans no it.

"Besides, Obama was smeared using made-up conspiracies, and Bachmann is being "smeared" by using her actual beliefs; conservatives might not like it, but once the rest of America starts getting regular reports on her paranoid Christian beliefs they will scratch their heads and say "who is this wacko?"

Call it what you will but his plan to bring America down (which most of us call his plan not a conspiracy) is quite evident and actually working. Are you liking the "change" your Chosen One has brought yet?

You show your contempt for Christianity in this and believe this is your true reason behind your comment and I honestly feel sorry for you.

"For the record I've seen pleny (sic) of photos of Bachmann where she loked (sic) a bit unhinged."

This comment form allows for pictures if you wish to provide what you believe is "unhinged" so long as they are real (if not you run the risk of deletion), but that view is actually a personal one so really doesn't mean much.

Newsweek would have done themselves a favor by running a real image as well, all they have done now is damage their own name even further.

I agree Mark. Seeing her in many interviews and speaking engagements this cover popped-out as a fraud immediately.

I never read Newsweek and gave up on Time magazine decades ago.

RR, It is rare that NOW (Femanazi's) defend real women i.e., married to a man, raising children - her own offspring and foster children and also educated with an accomplished career both in the private and public sectors.

Someone in the NOW organization is going to pay for getting that out!

Not that I personally know of John.

I agree, when one stoops to this level it is they who are vilified and called into question and not their intended target.

As to the much vaunted "center", that has shrunken substantially since Obama got elected and this time around courting them will not do much good and be a waste of time and money for both sides.

I have watched alot of Fox News the past few years, I have watched a lot of MSNBC and CNN and other channels too.  But Fox treated these made-up issues as if they were real, as if Obama really was born in Kenya and Bill Ayers really did ghost-write his book (their "evidence" was the kind of thing that would be laughed out of court-- this idea that passages and phrases are similar between Ayers and Obama is a Rorschach test, and you guys see what you want to see.)  Other news outlets reported these things as curiosities, with skepticism, not as fact.  Perhaps if you watched other news outlets you would realize this.  It's not baseless.  I also know that any proof I provide will be called liberal propaganda-- that's the ace you guys always have up your sleeve, anything that doesn't fit your worldview is discounted as a liberal lie.  How very convenient for you.

In fact Fox News has doctored images too, and if you do some googling you can find those pictures, where perceived enemies of Fox were made to look uglier and older.  I'm sure you will find a way to defend that too.

As for "Obama's 'plan' to bring America down"-- well, I don't see it.  Our current economic woes are clearly the fault of past deregulation (the kind of deregulation you guys love so much), deregulation that allowed banks to rake in huge short term profits with no regard to how it would effect the market later.  I often hear the conservative mantra "government can't create jobs", but then you guys harp on Obama for "not creating jobs", well, you can't have it both ways.  I guess if Obama gave us more tax cuts for the rich everything would be peachy?  If McCain had won in 2008 how exactly would things be better, what would he have done?  May I remind you that Clinton raised taxes on the rich and we had an economic boom, AND a balanced budget.  Gutting Social Security and Medicare isn't going to make America better (it's essentially the same as raising taxes on the poor, who will have to pay for services they government once provided), nor will it balance the budget.

Here are some pics of Bachmann where she looks a bit deranged (see link below.)  There are others.  I don't think your video is very convincing; even with her eyelids lowered she still looks a bit crazy.

The only time I even *see* a copy of Newsweek is when in the waiting room at the hospital.  They've been reduced to being a lefty blog printed on paper. Whoever it was that bought Newsweek for a buck overpaid.

Couldn't say if the pic was altered not.

Buttttttttt, considering the altered states of the liberally minded I wouldn't doubt it.  Definitly a much better job than the altered birth certificate they foisted on us.

You only hear what you want to hear. Fox treated all these stories as they claim ‘Fair and Balanced’. As to the “writing”, these claims have been not only made by novice readers but accomplished authors, journalists and even lawyers;

I do in fact view others and they did not treat them as you claim, but rather dismissed them out-of-hand. As to liberal propaganda, well that is one term for it but I call it White House talking points (same difference) as that is where MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS etc. gets their marching orders. This cannot be denied as as soon as the talking points come out in public they have already been disseminated as fact and clear attacks on the opposition by the outlets I mention previous to the WH making them public.

"In fact Fox News has doctored images too, and if you do some googling you can find those pictures, where perceived enemies of Fox were made to look uglier and older.  I'm sure you will find a way to defend that too."

You mention it so bring it on as I did in the original post. If you claim it, prove it. It is apparent you have the capability of ‘Googling’ yourself so why should I do your homework?

"As for "Obama's 'plan' to bring America down"-- well, I don't see it."

Of course you do not, you see his socialist work as good, I expect nothing else from your type. It matters not to you and others ignorant about Keynesian economics that they have never worked even as current reality around the globe proves it.

"Our current economic woes are clearly the fault of past deregulation (the kind of deregulation you guys love so much), deregulation that allowed banks to rake in huge short term profits with no regard to how it would effect the market later."

Clearly? You have no clue how capitalism or economics work (see above) nor do you understand just why and who caused the current economic situation to begin with. The reason I know that is because you did not mention it.

"I often hear the conservative mantra "government can't create jobs", but then you guys harp on Obama for "not creating jobs", well, you can't have it both ways."

This is simple, we are proving Obama and you socialists wrong. Obama said numerous times his “stimulus” would create MILLIONS of jobs, IMMEDIATELY and yet where are we two “recovery summers” later? 9.1% unemployment when we were told, by Obama, that it would prevent unemployment from going over 8%.

So you see both the [...]

Part 2

"I guess if Obama gave us more tax cuts for the rich everything would be peachy?"

Congress makes law not a POTUS, they just sign them. But more to your point on cutting taxes all one has to do is look at JFK’s and Ronald Reagan’s records on cutting taxes and the subsequent boom to the economy and yes, more revenue to the government to know it works. By the by, those two presidents actually had plans and the entire country now sees Obama does not except for print, print, borrow, borrow and SPEND, SPEND, SPEND which goes to my point about him bringing the country down.

"If McCain had won in 2008 how exactly would things be better, what would he have done?"

McCain? Last I heard Obama is POTUS. Why bring in a RINO who did not win?

Try to remain current, I know it is difficult for you socialists as your Chosen One is falling flat on his face and you wish to deny it.

"May I remind you that Clinton raised taxes on the rich and we had an economic boom, AND a balanced budget.  Gutting Social Security and Medicare isn't going to make America better (it's essentially the same as raising taxes on the poor, who will have to pay for services they government once provided), nor will it balance the budget."

May I remind you that Clinton signed Welfare Reform into law at the urging of the GOP. That along with the “dot com bubble" helped much being those now rich people passed those taxes onto their technology sales, but then that bubble burst and led to a recession. You cannot cherry-pick history and forget the details, those higher taxes on the rich, well you and I and the general public actually paid.

Further, when you remove all those ineligible from those programs you cite and many others, namely illegals and those who never paid a dime into them,  those Ponzi schemes just might stay afloat. Instead of your ilk scaring seniors try telling them the truth.

This would also go to remedy the illegal immigration problem this country has being those here would leave and those contemplating coming would not do so being both camps realize there would be no free lunch for them here any longer.

"Here are some pics of Bachmann where she looks a bit deranged (see link below.)  There are others.  I don't think your video is very convincing; even with her eyelids lowered she still looks a bit crazy."

That is a liberal socialist piece of crap link and advise all not to link to it. Give a link with credibility if you wish to leave another.

Well since a buck is worthless now under Obama I would say they got the right price.

Good point Jaded. That photo-shopped "document" was so easily and quickly proved false one knows there was an ulterior motive behind the WH releasing it.

Either way it just proved their ineptness at anything really.
