No, Football is not my forte nor should it be the focus on this 10th Anniversary of 9-11-01 but I have to admit I was totally shocked, shocked I say to hear the Detroit Lions won against Tampa Bay 27-20.
This news set me back $10!
Oh well, I am sure I can make that $10 back next week.

ANYthing can happen on ANY given Sunday, that's football!
And those oddsmakers always seem to get the line just right to beat you...
Maybe they just tired of losing, and it's their year.
You know this kills me as a good Chicago boy as well as having a rather delusional friend from Detroit who thinks all Detroit teams, especially the Dead Things are superior, but in this case my friend, not a surprise. I'm actually impressed woth the way the Lions are being put together and if the QB stays healthy, they havge a good shot at the playoffs. I just hope big mike doesn't see anything from me actually saying they're going to be good. against my moral principles as you can guess. LOL!
It was straight-up bet RR with a co-worker and I beleieve TB just did not want to play.
Not and not Odie. The Lions organization is in general adverse to winning.
Their year for what? Just missing the playoff's?
Joe, I hope you are not referring to me as that friend.
The Red Wings were hot but are rebuilding.
The Tigers are on a roll and have a more than decent shot at playing in the World Series this year but after a few seasons of say,,,hope and change.
The Pistons I have no clue as I do not follow Basketball even slightly.
Now the Lions, whoever claimed they are superior [and I certainly never have] is more than delusional but clinically insane. Is this friend you speak of named William Clay Ford by chance?
No Chris! Big Mike is a dear friend who when the Hawks sweot the Wings some years back, I built a small coffin for the Red Wing player statue he had. A nice freindly rivalry. Seriously, I am impressed so far with the Lions and the Tigers are as you say on a roll. Bad part is, big mike is rubbing it in as to my beloved Cubs. LOL! Personally, I'm happy to see a resurection on the Lions part on some levels.
