I actually heard this address by UK PM Cameron live on BBC America radio and was thrilled to hear it.
Cameron maybe allot of things to the voters of the British Isles but for this action of his they should be proud.
At least in terms of National sovereignty as opposed to some central socialist (actually communist) control from Brussels, Cameron gets it.

It looks like there a little back bone in this man the British thought they voted for.
RE: Odie,,,
Exactly. The proof of this is all the bashing he is receiving from the European socialists.
I'm yet to be convinced that Cameron has finally found some backbone.
However I'm prepared to hope for the best. What he is saying here is that Britain is the sole remaining member of the EU, all the other countries have founded some new thing.
The City of London accounts for 61% of Europes financial sector, France and Germany want to tax it to save the Euro which is the immediate issue.
US press says Britain is isloated to which one UK pundit replied "Britain is isolated as the passenger that disembarked the Titanic".
Cameron came through a lot better than we ever imagined.
Our latest piece is exactly on this issue, "Heroic Britain's 'NO'! . . . While Europe Moves Towards Dictatorship". Our thesis is that England is better off out of a continental Europe that is falling under German domination - this time through the Euro.
RE: Banned,,,
What the US press says, or at least the majority of it, is absolute rubbish.
Now on outlets such as Fox News, Fox Business and the WSJ I have found exactly what you have said here and I believe this is the reason for the vitriol from Sarkozy, Merkel and many others as they see the well drying up.
RE: John,,,
I could not agree more with your thesis and I believe France, although socialist in nature, will live to regret it's decision to go along with Germany.
