Weekend Faith Blog - Rise

Those familiar with this blog and it's author are aware that I am an unabashed Christian but at the same time follow no human created orthodoxy to the same. This is not to fault any that do as that is a very worthy and good practice and a time-honored American tradition of freedom to assemble.

I digress.

The following gave me a smile physically and emotionally and it is my sincere wish it does exactly the same for whomever views it.

To my cherished and great friends of the Jewish Faith I wish to say you are always welcome here as we share in belief and Faith the same God. My door is always open for you, without fail.

Note to Self; Don't Die in Wayne County, Michigan

Not surprisingly the Wayne County Seat (government) resides within the borders of it's largest city, Detroit. 

Not knowing how other cities stack-up on this situation (excuse the pun) I highly advise not only avoiding Detroit for yet another addition of justifiable reason's, but also the entire county should you or loved ones happen to die there in either a hospital setting or fall victim to rampant crime there.

The question posed by the news anchor before the report "How do we solve the issues?" is quite simple really and can be found in the report if liberal minds were not so, well liberal.

The Wayne County Commissioner speaks of turning the medical examiners department into a "training facility" which is not too terrible an idea as a cost-cutting move and improving expediency. But if one thinks further on it that means there are many students in this field who eventually will be seeking employment and most clear thinking people know just what entity is best able to fill that need, the private sector.

Privatize the damned department and for God's sake keep it non-union!

Just a Reminder on East Coast / Midwest / South Earthquakes

I posted the following graphic in a reply to my (our) good friend a fellow blogger, banned (What a great and well informed guy!) from the UK yesterday regarding our recent earthquake and thought it might be wise but not alarming (at least in the government's eyes) to remind all of the danger that still exists considering the region in general.

I will not go on and on about what happened between 1811 and 1812 in this region but you can imagine by the numbers in population and subsequent infrastructure what a series of (4) earthquakes ranging from 7.0 - 8.1 in magnitude would do.

Considering magnitudes mentioned above and also the proximity I found this map / graphic to be most illustrative as to what I speak of:

We all hear the question of when will the "Big One" hit California along the San Andreas fault line but I think the better question is when will the next "Big One" hit the New Madrid?

A Modern Day Irish Poem 'Omagh-ah' (Maya Angelou can't touch this)

Many speak of  famed American Maya Angelou as some great poet and for the life of me I will never understand why? I have suffered through listening to her, in her own word's, and all I hear is of experiences not of her own but rather of ghosts long gone. I claim no 'critic status' but prefer, as I have found in the past, that poetry be of a first-hand nature as in say Francis Scott Key for instance, a strong instance I might add.

What I present here is not of the usual nature found on CP but is somewhat related as it regards to world politics and the state of terrorism we all face today, but more specifically what I myself regard as poetry.

Some, knowing of my background might believe this presentation to be biased in that I have Irish heritage and there maybe some truth to that, but would remind those of that thought that my Irish heritage dates back to that of the Republic of Ireland, not the Northern Six Counties affiliated with and in the family of the United Kingdom. I myself see all Irish as just that, Irish, and was raised that way. Sure there is the religious institutional affiliation difference but Christianity in general, soil, a way with word's and what all of us share - blood - that is whats bond's us, all of us no matter where we hail from.

I digress.

This is a first-hand account set into poetry by an Irish Lass (obviously younger when the event actually occurred) about a terrible tragedy in 1998 that only terrorists, of any stripe or nationality, could set into motion. If those reading/hearing this have forgotten the event this Gal Catherine Brogan speaks of or are to young to know of this tragedy in Omagh, N. Ireland I have included a link below.

Again, Maya Angelou 'can't touch this'.

Three significant historical events have been eclipsed by Obama: 1) Jimmy Carter will no longer be looked upon as the worst president in American history; 2) Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton will no longer be recognized as the greatest liars in presidential history; 3) Clinton's stain on Monica's dress, and what that did to the White House in general and the office of the president specifically, will forever pale in comparison to the stain and stench of Obama.

 

I need not spend much time on the failure of Obama as president. His tenure has been a failure on every measurable level. So much so, in fact, that some of the staunchest, most respected liberal Democrats and Democratic supporters have not only openly criticized him – some even more harshly than this essayist – but they have called for him to step down.

Richard Nixon's words "I am not a crook," punctuated with his involvement in Watergate, and Bill Clinton's finger-wagging as he told one of the most pathetic lies in presidential history, in the aftermath of Obama, will be viewed as mere prevarications.

Mr. Nixon and Clinton lied to save their backsides. Although, I would argue there are no plausible explanations for doing what they did, I could entertain arguments pursuant to understanding their rationales for lying. But in the case of Obama, he lies because he is a liar. He doesn't only lie to cover his misdeeds – he lies to get his way. He lies to belittle others and to make himself look presentable at their expense. He lies about his faith, his associations, his mother, his father and his wife. He lies and bullies to keep his background secret. His lying is congenital and compounded by socio-psychological factors of his life.

Never in my life, inside or outside of politics, have I witnessed such dishonesty in a political leader. He is the most mendacious political figure I have ever witnessed. Even by the low standards of his presidential predecessors, his narcissistic, contumacious arrogance is unequaled. Using Obama as the bar, Nero would have to be elevated to sainthood.

As the stock markets were crashing, taking with them the remaining life savings of untold tens of thousands, Obama was hosting his own birthday celebration, which was an event of epicurean splendidness. The shamelessness of the event was that it was not a state dinner to welcome foreign dignitaries, nor was it to honor an American accomplishment – it was to honor the Pharaoh, Barack Hussein Obama. The event's sole purpose was for the Pharaoh to have his loyal subjects swill wine, indulge in gluttony and behavior unfit to take place on the property of taxpayers, as they suffer. It was of a magnitude comparable to that of Tyco CEO Dennis Kozlowski's $2 million birthday extravaganza for its pure lack of respect for the people.

Permit me to digress momentarily. The U.S. Capitol and the White House were built with the intent of bringing awe and respect to America and her people. They were also built with the intent of being the greatest of equalizers. I can tell you, having personally been to both, there is a moment of awe and humility associated with being in the presence of the history of those buildings. They are to be honored and inscribed into our national psyche, not treated as a Saturday night house party at Chicago's Cabrini-Green.

The people of America own that home Obama and his wife continue to debase with their pan-ghetto behavior. It is clear that Obama and family view themselves as royalty, but they're not. They are employees of "we the people," who are suffering because of his failed policies. What message does this behavior send to those who today are suffering as never before?

What message does it send to all Americans who are struggling? Has anyone stopped to think what the stock market downturn forebodes for those 80 million baby boomers who will be retiring in the next period of years? Is there a snowball's chance in the Sahara that every news program on the air would applaud this behavior if it were George W. Bush? To that point, do you remember the media thrashing Bush took for having a barbecue at the White House?

Like Nero – who was only slightly less debaucherous than Caligula – with wine on his lips Obama treated "we the people" the way Caligula treated those over whom he lorded.

Many in America wanted to be proud when the first person of color was elected president, but instead, they have been witness to a congenital liar, a woman who has been ashamed of America her entire life, failed policies, intimidation and a commonality hitherto not witnessed in political leaders. He and his wife view their life at our expense as an entitlement – while America's people go homeless, hungry and unemployed.

I am one who religiously reads the WSJ' 'Best of the Web' by James Taranto for years now and think this is the first time I have shared his wit and wisdom on the pages of CP.

Mr. Taranto has the ability to make me LOL at some very serious subjects while making very valid points. Granted, this current administration and congressional liberals make his work fairly easy but no matter his target you get educated on the subject, the English language and all the while you get a laugh to boot, enjoy,,,

President Obama's Gallup approval rating has dipped below 40%--or, as the White House prefers to put it, the president has saved or created 39 approval points. The New York Times reports that Obama and his advisers are plotting a comeback.


"It is their judgment that moderate voters want tangible results rather than speeches," the Times reports. We're not sure about that. Obama has delivered plenty of awful speeches, but his tangible results have been far, far worse.


"Administration officials . . . have increasingly concluded that the best thing Mr. Obama can do for the economy may be winning a second term," the Times reports without evident irony. How about not winning a second term?


Some administration officials think the way to go is to ape Jimmy Carter and create a new cabinet department:

The administration may . . . merge the Department of Commerce, the Office of the United States Trade Representative and some economic divisions at the State Department into a new agency, administration officials said. Possible names include the Department of Jobs or the Department of Competitiveness.

So let's see if we have this straight: There's already a Department of Labor, so we need a Department of Jobs? If we really need a new cabinet-level agency to deal with unemployment, why not at least have a little wit and call it the Department of Redundancy Department?-


An aside but related - All of this "focused like a laser beam" on jobs by this administration rekindled and repackaged of course for his on-going campaign for re-election reminded me that I know I had heard the same word's before?

Looking back on time I get a kick out of how my Bride and I met which was not to dissimilar to that of my parents albeit in another era,,in a saloon. Chance meeting really and too long a story to tell but will say that my Bride does not partake in drinking alcohol but maybe twice a year if that, God Bless her.

I heard this song again and the theme of "one time is never enough" hit me more than the mention of Tequila as I am currently working almost as many hours as I was then (actually way more hours back then) when we first met and the balance wire I walked between keeping her and maintaining my job did indeed almost kill me. One date with Jackie was never enough, no I married her,,,,,,

Alas, it did not kill me and I am a better man for it as it taught me much and finalized direction for me, Jackie saved me from myself. No, not an alcoholic here but a rather hard-working and hard-playing man and was in much need of slowing down. Medicine is actually poison and she is the poison I needed sent by God!

WHEN it was discovered that his grandparents were strong socialists who sent Obama's mother to a socialist school where she was introduced to Frank Marshall Davis. He was later introduced to young Barrack Hussein Obama. People said it didn't matter.

WHEN people found out that Barrack Hussein Obama was enrolled as a Muslim child in school and his father and stepfather were both Muslims, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he wrote in another book he authored "I will stand with them (Muslims) should the political winds shift in an ugly direction" people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he admittedly, in his book, said he chose Marxist friends and professors in college-- people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he traveled to Pakistan after college on an unknown national passport, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he sought the endorsement of the Marxist Party in 1996 as he ran for the Illinois Senate, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he sat in a Chicago Church for twenty years and listened to a preacher spew hatred for America and preach black liberation theology, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN his voting record in the Illinois senate and in the U.S. Senate came into question, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN the place of his birth was called into question, and he refused to produce a birth certificate, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he had an association in Chicago with Tony Rezco--a man of questionable character and who is now in prison and had helped Obama to a sweet deal on the purchase of his home-- people said it didn't matter.

WHEN it became known that George Soros, a multi-billionaire Marxist, spent a ton of money to get him elected, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he started appointing White House Czars that were radicals, revolutionaries, and even avowed Marxist/Communist, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he stood before the Nation and told us that his intentions were to "fundamentally transform this Nation" into something else, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN it became known that he had trained ACORN workers in Chicago and served as an attorney for ACORN, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he appointed cabinet members and several advisors who were tax cheats and socialists, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he appointed a Science Czar, John Holdren, who believes in forced abortions, mass sterilizations and seizing babies from teen mothers, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director said Mao Tse Tung was her favorite philosopher-- and the person she turned to most for inspiration, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he appointed Carol Browner as Global Warming Czar, and her being a well known socialist working on Cap and Trade as the nations largest tax, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he appointed Van Jones, an ex-con and avowed Communist as Green Energy Czar, who since had to resign when this was made known, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN Tom Daschle, Obama's pick for health and human services secretary could not be confirmed, because he was a tax cheat, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN as President of the United States , he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia , people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he traveled around the world criticizing America and never once talking of her greatness, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN his actions concerning the Middle-East seemed to support the Palestinians over Israel , our long time ally, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he took American tax dollars to resettle thousands of Palestinians from Gaza to the United States , people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he upset the Europeans by removing plans for a missile defense system against the Russians, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he played politics in Afghanistan by not sending troops early-on when the Field Commanders said they were necessary to win, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he started spending us into a debt that was so big we could not pay it off, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he took a huge spending bill under the guise of stimulus and used it to pay off organizations, unions, and individuals that got him elected, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he took over insurance companies, car companies, banks, etc., people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he took away student loans from the banks and put it through the government, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he designed plans to take over the health care system and put it under government control, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he claimed he was a Christian during the election and tapes were later made public that showed Obama speaking to a Muslim group and 'stating' that he was raised a Muslim; was educated as a Muslim; and that he is still a Muslim-- people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he set into motion a plan to take over the control of all energy in the United States through Cap and Trade, people said it didn't matter.

WHEN he finally completed his transformation of America into a Socialist State , people finally woke up--- but it was too late.

Add these up one by one and you get a phenomenal score that points to the fact that Barrack Hussein Obama is determined to turn America into a Marxist-Socialist society.

All of the items in the preceding paragraphs have been put into place. All can be documented very easily. Before you disavow this do an internet search. The last paragraph alone is not yet cast in stone. You and I will write that paragraph. Will it read as above or will it be a more happy ending for most of America ?

If you are an Obama Supporter don't be angry with me because I think Barrack Hussein Obama is a socialist. Far too many facts support he is indeed a Socialist.

If you seek the truth you will be richer for it.

Don't just belittle the opposition.. Search for the truth. Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Constitutionalists, Libertarians all need to pull together or watch the demise of a free democratic society.

Pray for Americans to seek the truth and take action for it will keep us FREE. Our biggest enemy is not China , Russia , North Korea , and Iran our biggest enemy is a contingent of politicians in Washington DC . The government will not help, so we need to do it ourselves.

Question....will you ignore this, or pass it on to others who don't know about Obama's actions and plans for the USA , so that they may know how to vote in November, 2012 and the ensuing years?

I honestly laughed out loud at the Blondie liberal in this suggesting what I lead with in the title.

We all have heard of this claim before but I had not seen it done in front of Dick Armey before, his face is priceless just as our support is for the Constitution.

We all have the ability to see in cloud formation's whatever our minds perceive but rarely if ever do any one of us "see" the same as it is an individual perception and usually last but only seconds. However this is nothing short of phenomenal as all are able to clearly see the same 'face'.

metro.co.uk - Posted on YouTube, the footage was filmed as a storm rolled across the picturesque region of Grand Falls, New Brunswick.

As the cameraman pans across his backyard the huge face (1min 45sec) can be seen forming a human-like side-profile with a nose, mouth, eyes and a beard all clearly discernible.

The distinctive features have sent the internet into a buzz and some users have even spotted other weird goings-on in the clip, including what appears to be a pig flying (3 secs in).

Questions will surely be asked as to whether this was just a spooky occurrence or an elaborate message beamed down from the gods.

For now though, lets just agree that it's nothing more than a natural wonder.

When I viewed that my first thought was about the sandstorm face in the movie 'The Mummy',,,,

The difference of course is one is real nature and the other Hollywood and I myself prefer the former as God has one helluva show for us if we would just take the time to appreciate it.

A Posthumous Happy Birthday to my U.S. Army Dad on This Day 8/8/2011

I was at work thinking on my Dad, his birthday and how much I missed him and then the radio station I was listening to played the following,,,,,,

If I were a lesser man I might have lost it right then and there when that played on the radio given my thoughts at the time but I was at work and that is not at all the way I was raised.

It is simple as I was taught, there is a time and place for everything so I decided this forum might be appropriate to give a shout-out (I pray Heaven has ears) to my Dad,,,,

Damn, I miss him! (Sorry, drying eye's,,,,)

No, my Dad was not a millionaire nor a stranger to me but that video and song reminds me much of the many good times we did have together.

What my father did give and leave with me though is priceless, integrity.

There are those that ask themseves in situation's "What would Jesus do"? I on the other hand ask myself "What would Dad do"? To those on the wrong side of civility I ask; Do you really want to know the answer?

Ah, More Change We Can Believe In,,,

Well it's official now as I am sure the entire world knows, Barack Hussein Obama is officially the worst POTUS of these United States in history. He is personally responsible as sitting POTUS for losing, for the first time in history, America's AAA credit rating.

The caption on the picture is a tad misleading in that what Obama has achieved thus far in damaging the country as bad as he has, it can and will get worse so long as he remains in office. So no, his work is not done, not by a long shot.

When this actually starts to hit all of us, and no one individual or company will go untouched by this in the U.S. let alone worldwide by rising cost's or better said inflation we can expect much unrest as most of us have never been witness too previously.

 

Be sure to thank a liberal and yes a RINO if you encounter either say in the breadline for their fine choice in "leadership".

Exit thought, It is said the behind every good man is a good woman so the opposite must be true as well should it not? Makes one wonder if this is what Michelle is finally proud of?

I thought of using "OMG" in the title being this is a report from the Associated Press (AP) as in I believed they might have seen the light,,, then I thought again.

We were told that all the stimulus; TARP, Bailouts, QE1 & 2, Obamcare, Shovel Ready, Recovery Summer I & 2, printing of worthless paper (dollars), green energy,,you name it,,by liberals, that these "programs" would create or save millions of jobs and yet we have unemployment @ 9.2% and growing.

Then of course the promise of a grand future by passing an INCREASE in how much the government can BORROW to pay for those "programs" already passed in congress and signed by shit-head Obama we could not afford to begin with.

Well, we all witnessed what that fucking shit brought didn't we, worldwide for that matter most notably in world markets.

All one has to do to see where all of this is going is to look at and study Chicago politics which is not that dissimilar to that of Moscow, Caracas, Havana or better yet Pyongyang to get a fucking clue!

To All; I Believe I am Back at Full Strength,,,,,Thank You!

I believe I owe all my blogging friend's an explanation as to why I have been somewhat hit or miss and or absent from commenting on your wonderful sites and posts.

Google awhile back had a problem and am sure most felt it where as some of us including myself could not log on to our own blogs. Well I just got that back. I have commented on a few to see if my smiling Leprechaun face showed up and thus far it has.

Needless to say I was very frustrated with Google about this! I was going to change the look of my blog anyhow but thought if I did during this dilemma it might change my status (signing in), but alas it did not.

During this 'brownout' I found I could not comment on many of your sites due to a rule on commenting on these sites of not being able to sign in under "Name" and this includes a site I am part of; Left Coast Resistance.

This situation created by Google did not prevent me from posting but it has been irregular due to a heavy work schedule (60-68 hours a week as of late) and I cannot thank all of you enough for sticking around and keeping up the good fight yourselves!
