"90 Miles an Hour Down a Dead-End Street" (Wake-Up Call Youth)

Mr. Womack featured above is obviously talented and I am not sure what inspired him to pen such lyrics but can say that when I heard them I thought of our Nation under the much ballyhooed "leadership" of Obama in every respect.

American youth, Obama got the keys to the proverbial car, given to him by you no less, and is driving us all 90 miles an hour down a dead-end street.

Some that may see this message may not be old enough (or taught) to know of the President Jimmy Carter years but this was the same "car" but a large amount of very hurt financially, mentally but wise Americans took the keys away from him in short order (4 years time) so as not to reach that dead-end so that we may thrive.

We of that generation who did thrive wished the very same for you and have worked at it, like our parents before us,  for sometime now just to see it vanish in but three years by those of you who did not listen. This not only hurt us but you as well and just when you needed a job to strike out on your own.

Are you listening now? Are you paying attention now? Do you have a job now? What do you wish for your children?

Think on my last question will you for a moment or two. If you wish the best for them then you must vote AGAINST Obama for he is leading all of us to and including YOUR children down a one way, dead-end street and that street is now called Greece from which there is no, repeat no, recovery.

They are teaching there is no American Dream. We need to put "American Dream" back into their vocabulary.

Odie,,,

In order to reach any dream one has to work for it and that IMHO is what is not being taught. OWS is a prime example of this I might add.

I was living in Little Rock during the Carter years. Recall interest rates going to around 20% because I had to travel to adjoining states to sale my home improvements---siding, room additions, etc.) and of course there was the Iran thing. Hate to say it, but I voted for Carter, thought he was a conservative and because he was a southerner. Learned a hard lesson there. You are dead on about BHO---one way and dead-end.

Hey we all make mistakes (Carter) but (and please do not take this in a bad way) hate to remind you that LBJ was also a southerner (not conservative) and that was and is still considered recent history at least in presidential terms,,,,,(just a reminder for others).

I hope that the young adults of today no matter their "social status" are aware enough now to see the mistake they made little more then three years ago and what it led to. And furthermore that those who attain the age of 18 previous to election day should they be registered to vote for the first time do so with their eyes and ears wide open so as not to make the very same mistake.
