I am truly sorry to the Crown and to Her people (allies to the end) that Team U.S.A. was lead by a socialist, that being the current, agggem, first lady? of the U.S. of America.
For that shallow presence, of what is not representative of the American people, on your soil we citizens of the United States of America collectively apologies in absentia.
That aside, I have the utmost confidence that the heart of the United Kingdom will showcase herself with pride, dignity, sportsmanship and security. On that last mention, well the world has heard of the debacle on the security choice, and as we say in the U.S.; "Shit happens".
But from all news reports (pray they are true?) you folk across the pond have more than made up for that and on what would seem to be short notice on that particular aspect I myself salute you all.
Not a soul on this Earth, I believe, wants a "police or military state". But being you are the host of an international event in the middle of a worldwide recession (understatement in Europe) and much upheaval in the Middle East, I see you had no choice except the best one in terms of security.
I wish London well and prosperity (although at times elusive in this age) and may the rain stop there and come my way.
I must admit that I am routing for Team USA in all events (go figure) even though politics is my game but sincerely wish the U.K. earn their mark, or medal as it were, as well.
Cheers and good luck.

Good luck to US !
I always enjoy watching the Olympics, especially the swimming events. Go USA! Win the Gold.
Thanks for the good wishes Chris; security is not a problem now that the military are in charge as they always knew they would be and have been planning accordingly despite being told they were surplus to requirements by the socialists who gained the Olympics for London.
I'd better not mention where the Royal Marines who are guarding the sailing events are seconded from, might give the bad people bad ideas.
Despite the multi-culti stuff on the opening night it's nice to know that we can still put n a good show. I won't be watching much of it except perhaps the womens beach vollyball for which the sun is bound to shine.
