This term/phrase, "more than expected" when applied to unemployment claims rising by the MSM is more than annoying and less than truthful to those on the right or better stated those who live based in reality.
It is in fact a tool of psychology in that it goes to work on the American psyche in accepting the "New Norm" of lower, much lower expectations and clouding it with feel good messages of pure and unadulterated bullshit.
The following is the lead paragraph in the the story linked above (emphasis mine):
"The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits rose more than expected last week, but still remained at levels consistent with a steady improvement in labor market conditions".
It is impossible for a relatively educated and thinking individual and or populous to reconcile those two conditions, and as yet this White House via its puppets in the press have pushed this line over and over again throughout the tenure of this administration.
This dog and pony show is similar to the movie 'Groundhog Day' but with a significant difference, conditions will worsen and this will certainly not have a happy ending.
